I seem to remember this tune. I had one or two of those floppy records that came in MD occasionally. I recall one that had samples by multiple drummers, and I tried to figure out a Rod Morganstein lick by ear.

I got one of these off of EBay for $70, these things are great for recording vintage early 2000’s track something about the digital anolog processing just sounds great.

It's kind of hard to convey the differences properly in a video like this. You would need to mic the bottom heads to really let the differences shine, because even though you are close micing the top heads, it's still mostly just picking up the attack/tone of just the top. That said, I can def hear some difference, but unless your in the room, the best way would be to either mic both heads, both heads, and a room mic even better, or top heads, and a room mic would be a little better. Were you using a room mic here?

Another thing to remember is that drumsticks come in all shapes and sizes and in different materials

I have many different drumsticks that are great for any kind of music. They all serve a purpose, but I don’t use every stick I have, but I am a versatile player I do however love wood tips, and I also like nylon tips. It keeps it interesting for me and for the people I’m playing for I like drumsticks that have no blemishes and it’s a gift from God to be able to drum the sizes of drumsticks I like are 1516 and 17. I have many men manufactures that I like but Vic Firth is first

I am working on a cover by King Crimson, Frame by Frame and I’m using the spd sx pro and I am using conga samples hi and low and I tweaked the pitch and put them thru my BT-1 triggers but still working on the song so I still might change the sample although they sound very similar IMO to octabons I liked and subscribed, thank you for your knowledge!
