Being the middle child did made me independent. I can hide my emotions from my family easily but... Recently i lost touch with one of my friend who was basically my support system as she always used to make me feel heard and trust me , everything is crashed down right now , im going through the biggest mental breakdown , suffering as well but who do i share all this with? Yh it's very true. But it's cool though. Although my behaviour is different from my siblings and my parents, I do enjoy being the middle child. Middle child here. All my life i've been excluded from my family. While my two other siblings get what they want i rarely get it. My parents think i don't need anything and that my siblings need is more important than mine. It's not always that worse before, cause my dad would cheer me up and later buy me something and make sure that i feel loved. But now it's been 3 years since he passed away. It got worse than ever. My mom just make sure than i'm not needed in the family that my life is not as important as my other siblings. She says that 'i have it easy in my days' which is not true, growing up and your parents rarely present in your life definitely not easy. Cause even tho i do feel the love from my dad but he's just too busy with his work. So as a child i hardly meet him. But when i do meet him, he always sweet to me. So no, life is not easy for me. I can't focus on schooll and my grades are failing and i don't have anyone at home to teach me. But thank god, in middle school i got to know the internet so i teach myself on the internet. And my grades are great. Basically, i survive by myself. So the fact that my mom, wants me to give everything to my other siblings saying i have it easy is really unforgivable. She literally knows nothing about me. About the hardship i've been through my favorite food and all. Cause it's always about my siblings. One time she try to talk to me. She wants me to say what makes me so different. That i'm not obeying her anymore (lol after what she did to me?) So i talk to her. But then she started screaming and crying, say that i shouldn't talk back at her (even tho she's the one who wants me to TALK) and that i should only listen of what she just say. She say i made her heart broken by how i behave. Were kinda a religious family so she say it's a sin to do that. I say, 'okay, I'm sorry. But you hurt my feelings multiple times since i was a kid. Is that not a sin?' And lol she say that parents allowed to say whatever they want to their children and it's not a sin. Like what? At that time i knew. That there is no point of talking with her.

Im a middle child and im different from my sisters, anything that i like for example South Korea, things that happen at school or the songs that i made, I would talk it to other people because i feel like there not interested in my topic ! So far im the only girl in this family who loves South Korea because nobody else likes it 😢 Also, they are not interested in the shows and music I watched 😢

Our two kids will be 8 years apart. Our daughter is so excited for a baby sibling and still plays with her baby dolls and things. I really hope they will have a good relationship. My sister and I were only 18 months apart. We are not as close now being adults. I think our personalities are a bit too different even though we both care for each other a lot. We never really fought much.

I am a Middle Child and I have that syndrome. I grew up feeling unneeded and unloved. I still feel this way. I became a people pleaser. I have issues with connecting with people and forming long lasting relationships. Low self esteem, overeating issue, pretending to be happy and cheerful all the time.

I can relate to a few of these stories, like being praised less, and getting talked down on a ton, but i can tell they still love me with all they have. As a middle child myself, only child, cousins that are sibling-figures. My family is a huge of 6+ cousins, nephews, aunts. Since the new baby is born i am only seen as like butler in the house my cousing that are my sibling-figures they shattered the bond long time ago. Since shes 18 now and is on animating, the whole family is ambitious of showing it to yt and achieving 100k subs, while me 5 years in this channel 300 subs and now ive benn shown off. If Im an adult I will destroy this family tradition and actually have common sense and a heart of gold, these people are now traitors. Also if I sound spoiled, trust me I change, on these I want this and that stuff etc. But when its my older siblings bday, they always got some special gifts while I got none, I only buy my own or create my own to relieve the pain they caused. Im planning to celebrate my bday alone next year, I cant stand their family tradition anymore is biased, favortism, etc. I commited s about 8 times and still manage my sanity. I know this isnt the place to post this here. I still love them the way they treat me and other middle childs is unnaceptable, we as brothers unite an doscorrupt the families from the uknown tyrrants on their minds.

i am a middle child and all i can tell, all of that is true. most of our parents dont love us equally, but hey,...at least we live on our own. i learn to become more independent by myself more than my family. i love my family but they put me in a lot of stress, it's okay if they want to treat me like im the lesser loved, the unloved, im okay with all that. my own brother used to call me a parasite as im offering nothing good to my family but nah, im okay with all that i never care anymore. my father treat me a anger reliever cuz im not good at helping him at any works...so all he do is yelling at me cuz im too clumsy. im okay with all that but when i want to get out from my house, to start a new life on my own, becomes a better version of myself all of my family forbid me, i dont know why.. i am a parasite, i am good for nothing middle child so let me go, the harsh part for me, they wont let me go, i want to go out so bad. at some point i know, im going to get out from my house real soon and find myself a better place

I always seeked out justice in the family when i was a child. Because my older brother, who is the most perfected human being to walk on earth, as well as my little sister who is the golden ingot, in the eyes of my parents, always came first. They have always been, and still is my parents first prioity. I eventuelly come second if they remember my existence. My siblings was always allowed to follow their dreams and was supported so. They were also always allowed to have friends over. You can guess for yourself who did not. This resulted in me having a very VERY little circle of friends, and i gave up on trying anything big. Or even remotely ambitious. Why should i even bother, when my parents always are ready on a moments notice to kiss the feet of my siblings, just because of their existence?

I knew when anything happened in the house. My older and younger are going to blame me, and even if it wasn’t true, they believe them it must be you middle. I leaned into being rebellious. Fuck them if they think I’m so bad I’ll show them bad.

I’m the oldest and it’s so much damn responsibility!! All these damn expectations! I wouldn’t want to be the youngest either, I think I would have came out dumb and needy. I would have much rather be the middle child.

My younger sister and I are 2 and 3 out of four kids. We were both gaslighted by our mother and older half sister most of our lives until we cut them off. They even twisted my words and tried to use them against me. I did not know what they were doing to us was abuse until a year and a half ago. As a child my accomplishments didn't mean anything. Honor Roll, National Honors Society, Internships, Traveling to 3 countries over seas before graduating high school and making a graphic design portfolio. I didnt even cause any issues in the house. The oldest was the rebellious one. Regardless of the fact that after I moved 1200 miles away and still made gourmet cookies and sent them to everyone every year for 4 years and it wasn't good enough. I even sent Christmas and Birthday gifts up there and they were not cheap. They just felt like they were entitled to it every year and still lied and gaslighted me. I dried all that sh*t up. It's been 2 years and they are still waiting on gifts and cookies. I'm not sending those greedy bastards nothing! And when I visit the city they live in every year, I skip right over them and visit everyone else. It may seem mean, but I do not associate with manipulators or abusers.
