I can’t believe that one. John’s first song he played drums in public was : “You Can’t Do That”. I never figured that anyone would select the same “real deep cut” as a lifetime first. The Avalanches in the eighth grade talent show. More cow bell !

Iv’e been playing wirh Vater fusions for years. Still my favourite stick. My biggest concern was always the taper wearing down from playing on my hi-hat. But here in the Netherlands, it’s still a very afoordale brand. Still love them.

Childhood hero for me. I think Morgan was the first drummer I really adopted style from when first playing decades ago. I mean, I can only think of Dave Lombardo being a close second for influence on my young drummer soul. Love you Mr Rose! and thank you.

Spoiler alert: John got the gig for the 50th Anniversary reunion tour and sounded awesome. He does not give himself enough credit for rocking the band the way he does with his great back beat and feel. He thumps the heck out of Good Vibrations and really drives the rest of their incredible catalog. It's so great to still see him with the Beach Boys today 20 years later after all he's been through with the Cowsills and their sad behind the scenes drama and loss of his brothers. Still doin' it and sounding rad as always!

Wish I could have seen AiC with Layne. I saw so many awesome bands back in the 90's -- Stone Temple Pilots, Type O Negative, Pantera, Faith No More, etc. just never came across AiC.

I encourage all to watch John’s live performance age 10 with the Cowsills on Sullivan. He was unbelievable - as good or better than drummers of any age might be. He didn’t freak out as other kids might have playing in front of hundreds of people and before those massive cameras they used back in the day. John is a gifted drummer and has been all his life.

Im a drummer, huge fan, From Minnesota, dontcha know, and I love fishing and pulling the wings off flys. Primus and Slayer are my two faves. Got to see them together at OZZFEST one year. That was better than digging out a ingrown toe nail. You know that feeling?

I saw Jeff (and Matt) play in a small club in Belfast the day after Grace was released - interesting to hear him say he was struggling a bit with homesickness on tour. I do remember even though he played great that night he seemed out of sorts & left the stage early (Jeff may have said he had flu or something). Jeff played on though, just him & his guitar and was joined by Glen Hansard on stage. A memorable gig... Great album... Great drummer...!
