Introducing Chancellor-Elect Dr. James R. Martin II. James R. Martin II, Ph.D., was elected as the 13th chancellor of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University on June 21, 2024, by a vote of the University of North Carolina System Board of Governors, following his nomination by UNC System President Peter Hans. Chancellor-elect Martin begins work in the new role on August 15, 2024.

A & T has always been a premier educational institution!!! This is one of the reasons the governments are merging HBCUs with PWCU.
