It makes even sweeter if you considers the 2019 comic as canon where we sees that they actually briefly met before this part where the prince actually pretends to be a visiting royal's servant just so he can hang out with Snow White (who he doesn't realizes is the princess). The two chatted little and even played few games of chess (which Snow is a pro at due to being taught by her father). It is only when it comes to this part that Snow White realizes who he really is. One can reads this that she isn't scared. She is embarrassed by the way she dressed around him. However, he makes it clear that she is still beautiful to him no matter what she wears.

The Prince's words of love and kindness are the first Snow is listening after years forced to serving as a scullery maid for her jealous stepmother. Let that sink in 😢

I think we oughta cut Florian a break, I mean he's confirmed to have been 18 and Snow was 14, (a more than acceptable age gap for the time period also it was in the 30's so pretty reasonable for the time it was made) and they did share a decently romantic moment at the well. Though he did kinda spook her, he apologized like instantly and didn't chase after her, left her her space, and respectfully sang to her from a distance. They even shared an indirect bird kiss that Snow initiated. And lest we forget, Florian was the only person really concerned that she completely disappeared and actively looked for her that whole time. Mind you, he didn't she was a princess, there's no evidence he EVER knew; he fell for what appeared to be a cute maid and when she vanished, he, the heir to a kingdom, spent months searching for her to make sure she was okay. And when he finds her, DEAD, he gives her the lightest peck on the lips and then kneels to mourn her. Rewatch the full scene, really. My boy was so lost he didn't notice her waking up and then was ecstatic to see her alive. The animators did so well on that. She also like instantly reached for him and clearly felt safe with him. I just think that too often we really generalize both the early Disney princes and princesses without actually reviewing the movie.

Snow White doves=less of a reason to support pacifism. I have discovered that Roy O. Disney personally visited Nazi Germany in 1938 just to screen the film. War against the obsessors, ala Hitler, totally rocks. A song is also not the way to build an everlasting relationship. Walt Disney was not too religious, but sure as Hell backed Catholic traditional values in his films, especially stuff like marriage.

I guess this scene was the Inspiritation of John Lennon make the song: Do You Want To Know a Secret: The Beatles for George Harrison :)
