Mine was a bone shaker; the vibration got even more intense with increasing throttle... I didn't get to put it on any airplane. Love the sound and ease of starting though.
Beautiful 🤩 What size of prop do you have ?
Can you post a link to the engine ?? I’m looking to build this - in the process now
It was difficult to apprediate the sound of the engine, more like tractor noise with a hole in the exhaust .... 😂 Airplane does look clean. What type of fittings are those because I acquired a batch of fuel tanks but have the front hole like it showed on this video, would like to customize the tank as yours.
Did you have a 20cc in the stuka 20?
I’m near you. From the Berea club. I’ve been looking at this engine for my Rascal 110.
I believe you said you glued the motor mount w/ extra glue. Do you add any extra to the other parts that are accessible? Any ARF should be re-glued wherever possible. I’m sure you know that. Just sayin’ for others who watch. Your plane may have been assembled by a hungover person on Monday. who cared little abt much. Do it and check your plane carefully.
Nice plane and very well flown. Enjoyed this video. Thanks for sharing.
Hey this is Tim can you give me your number and address again lost it
You did a box opening for the Blackhorse Folck Wolf how did you like the quality of the kit?
Nice
How does it fly ? Does it feel light and nimble like a sport plane or does it fly with that heavy feeling like most Goldberg war birds ?
I think it is light for a warbird I use flaps on landing .It’s my favorite plane to fly !
Hi, I saw you have 2 p-47s, what brand are they and how big are they, thank you
I have 3 p-47’s one hangar 9 20cc ,a seagull with a dle 55ra and a top flite with a dle 65 all are great flyers , probably my favorite warbird to fly
@@michaelchamberlain7855 Nice, thankio
nice, that FW 190 is the one that appears behind what model is it?thanks
Thanks David . That is a seagull fw190 from gator RC I painted it with Rustoleum airbrushed the panel lines and weathering and new graphics from Callie Graffics
@@michaelchamberlain7855 Thankio
@@michaelchamberlain7855 Is the 20cc? seagull fw190 ,thankio
@@angeladavid100 no the 20cc is a Phoenix models it flys great ! The seagull has a dle55 in it
@@michaelchamberlain7855 ok, i understand, thank you very much and good flights, hug
I have this bird sitting on the bench right now....
thanks for posting this video. Was wondering if you could post the recommended servos for this model. Thanks jn advance.
Hello good flight, do you still have the plane? How about the overall quality, thank you
How’s it fly? Don’t see flight video
What engine did you use?
Dle 20 ra
Hey Micheal! I’m assembling mine currently. Have a26cc rcgf in and it’s just about finished. I’m looking at a spinner just like yours. Did you order it from eBay? That’s where I’m looking at. It’s a 76mm version.
Yes it came from xyz hobbies on eBay
What prop are you using???
Great FW-190
Thank you I’m going to maiden a seagull 80” next week I’ll post a video
What would be better the 85 degree or 90 degree, 60-12 size Eflite electric retracts?
I used the 81 degree eflites made for the hangar 9 me109
@@michaelchamberlain7855 Thanks, I measured the angle of the retracts drawing in the owners manual and it is exactly 81 degrees. That sounds right to me too.
Is there any room in the wing wheel well to increase the tire size just a little bit? How does it do on grass landings with tipping over in the front? I only have the option for grass landings. Love seeing your videos, thanks a bunch!
Wheel wells are just big enough for the supplied wheels ,I’ve landed in grass with no problem but they keep it short at LMAC
I put 4inch tires in mine. No prob. As far as nosing over on takeoff and landings. Yes it will certainly nose in on grass. I would suggest mounting washers on the back side of the landing gear mounts to push the wheels forward more. Every MM counts and makes a huge difference
@@michaelchamberlain7855 Thanks Michael, what is LMAC? Thanks Brian, That sounds like a great idea. Has that worked for you?

Truly a beautiful model Nice flying. The FW 190 is one of my favorite aircraft. Only the F4U Corsair top it. Only because I grew up watching Baa Baa Black Sheep. I also met Gregory Bappy Boyington when the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum displayed a Corsair. He was at the event along with a few of his squadron mates. I have an FW 190 that has close to the same detail but it's battery-powered. I have two gas airplanes. I rarely fly them only because of the mess. I have a station wagon not a pickup to transport them in. It's one of those really nice Dodge Magnums. I have kept the car immaculate for my kids, hoping one day it'll be worth something. Maybe like the old Chargers and Barracudas. Therefore I don't want to put the messy models in the car.
Thank you
Very nice, and nice save on second landing..
Thank you
Can’t wait to see it in the air
The 20cc A6M Zero shown in your video has a black streaked weathered looking appearance. Was this an early preproduction model? The current airplane as shown on Tower's web site has a bright unweathered finish.
If we only had some good weather I would fly it . Martin there are 2 zeros on tower’s website this one is the 67’” wingspan the bright unweathered finish is smaller
@@michaelchamberlain7855 Did you get yours from Tower? I asked them if the 67" was weathered or as depicted in the picture on their web site. They replied that the finish is without the dark weathered effect and as shown in the picture of the model on their website.
Yes mine came from tower . It was in the first shipment.
@@michaelchamberlain7855 Yours' looks nice with the weathering but I'm thinking that they changed later covering finish to panel lines and rivets without the weathering as the 67" on Towers web page and the Phoenix web site show the model without the darkened streaked weathering effect. Anyway, good luck with the maiden flight.
2nd Horror's question. Did the retracts fail? Love the Videos. I'm looking at getting one of these for a winter build. Love to hear your thoughts.
Terry Foster it flys great I have a couple of things I don’t like about it .the covering looks great with all of the detail but it doesn’t stay stuck down I think it will eventually come off . The supplied retracts are difficult to get adjusted so I opted for eflite . I ordered the spinner I’m using from eBay the one supplied is plastic 2 blade .and the pilot that comes in it looks awful . Thank you for watching
Hi! Thanks for the video...Can you tell me the inner dimension of the cowling please? thanks a lot!
Thanks!!
83Irvine it’s hard to be accurate Now that it’s on the plane but estimate 8” x 8-1/2” tall thanks
What happened with the retract? Any ideas?
Horror Gamer I didn’t use the included retracts .I opted for eflite 81 degree retracts intended for the hangar 9 bf109 ,and modified the struts that came with the kit they were the problem , a set screw in the end hit the actuator causing them to hang up . I ordered some different struts and they are working good now thanks for watching
@@warbirdbrothers1739 Very good I am glad you did not wreck it lol I bought this one after seeing your video along with several other PM models....have you ever worked with Seagull ARF's? looking at them and was wondering w3hat your opinion was.
Horror Gamer I have not tried any of the seagull models yet .I do like the Wicked Wabbit so that might be my first .I have also been looking at the blackhorse 102” FW190 k
