On August 17, 2017 I filmed what I think is a Immature Red Shouldered Hawk in my back yard. Perched up about 50 to 75 feet. I live in Cincinnati, Ohio. Colerain Township. FIlmed on a Canon EOS Rebel T3i, with Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM lens.

On September 20, 2017 I filmed a Great Blue Heron at the Boat Harbor, where the metal boats are laying upside down. Some days you go out there and there's only one or two Great Blue Heron's, other days there could be as many as six. Cedar Points Mean Streak from Battery Park across the bay Sept. 2016

In early September I filmed Mean Streak from across the bay at Battery Park. Later that month Mean Streak would be closed forever. Shoot's also include Maverick. According to Google Earth, Cedar Point is 1.58 miles from Battery Park. Video was shoot on a Canon EOS Rebel T3i, with a Canon EF 70-300mm F/4.5-5.6 IS USM lens & a Rode video microphone with Rycote Lyre Mount.

This is a tribute video to the RoadRailers, locations include south west Ohio and northern Kentucky. I was only able to film NS 251 (Sandusky, OH to East Point, GA) and NS 264 (Atlanta, GA to Detroit, MI). These are shoots in standard definition, 720x480. Standard Power on RoadRailers were two NS Dash 9-40CW's.

This is a short video shoot from across the bay at Battery Park of Cedar Point, on August 26, 2012. I used a Canon Rebel T3i with a EF-S 18-55mm IS II lens. Rides included are, Millennium Force, Top Thrill Dragster, Windseeker, Power Tower, Giant Wheel, Space Spiral, Mantis, Mean Streak, Maverick & Raptor just to name a few. At minute mark 00:43 you can hear Mantis's roar.

On June 24, 2015 CSX 849 ES44AC-H leads K587 north-bound, running track speed through Glendale, Ohio. Back in December 2015 CSX terminated the steel slab train, that ran daily from Russell, KY to Middletown, Ohio and back.
UP 4713 SD70M fly's through Seven Mile, Ohio leading NS 216 Intermodal.

NS 216 west-bound Intermodal lead by UP 4913 SD70M phase 2, fly's through Seven Mile, Ohio at about 55 to 60mph, with 106 cars. On the New Castle District, 216 is a Atlanta, GA (Whitaker Yard, Austell, GA) to Chicago, IL (Landers) daily Intermodal. Radio channel is AAR 22 CH 140.440 for both Road and Dispatcher. When 216 runs on CSX track, they are given a Z181 symbol.

Excellent video of the NS 216, Dan, I love the transitions and panning! Very cool horn salute from the engineer! Ah, the EMD SD70M-2, the final DC traction EMD in a long line them that goes back some 70 plus years. Sadly, 2020 was their final bow on the NS. Very sad that the horsehead has retired so much great EMD power. Sad that Glendale is now a yuppie quiet zone after 168 years of whistles and horns. But it's nice too look back at the good old days. Thanks for sharing Dan!
I have videotaped trains on this line several times.
What is the address of this location?
44 Village Square, Historic Glendale, Ohio 45246 A year ago or so the Glendale area is now a no horn zone, a fence has been put up from the grade crossing to the cross walk by the depot, to keep people from walking across the tracks. And the B&O CPL's signal's are long gone. You mainly only see north-bound traffic. Both CSX and NS.

Yes here in Cincinnati, Ohio during the winter we get alot of American Crows. They can be hard to photography, it's as if they can see you though your windows. :D

Anytime @@TopThrillDan. Yes sadly, I never got a chance to film these signals at Hamilton, but I film the ones at Winton Place and Covington whenever I can. I didn't even know they had a classic signal at the Kroger's up there, haven't been yet. Pennsylvania heritage?
the train with the BNSF unit was likely 309 as the sand hoppers give that away. The second thing is 5074 has been rebuilt with an admiral cab and is still here.

+Bo Broadnax I use a Radio Shack Pro-404 handheld scanner, there are many manufacturers that make scanners. Just look for ones that are capable of receiving in the 148-174 MHz range. And one that can store 50 to 100 channels, so that you'll have plenty of space to store channels. Don't have any information on ham radios. And some states scanners are illegal, just keep it your car. Hope this helps. :D
