Happy you enjoyed the video. When you do find the time it is quite enjoyable to drive on the small roads following the rivers and finding spots to fish. So many streams to explore!

Why did you pick the cabin that was 500m away instead of the one beside the sauna?

It could have been either one but the one we took was a bit bigger, better beds and a fireplace that provided more heat.

I had the Tenkararod with me but i ended up not using it. Could have been a misstake. At the moment i mostly fish in the Orsa fishing permit area. But i starting to have fished all streams there now so then i move on to another area. Thats the plan at least. Fjätälven is interesting, maybe i'll give it a try there next.

Yes, overall it was a good trip and since it ended one day early i managed to squeeze in another trip as well so it all ended for the best at the end.

Nice, it was a very good trip. Don't underestimate Töfsingdalen, it can be a quite rough place, but also so unique and special. Hope to hear from you after and how the trip was. Good luck!

Ok, vet att dom gör olika bekämpningsinsatser och verkar ju då som att det är effektivt. Förutom mot bromsar då. Det kan väl även komma olika våger av kläckningar som gör att beståndet plötsligt ökar. Sedan är det säkert stora lokala variationer inom nationalparken. Jag kommer precis från Tiveden där det var sanslöst mycket knott på sina ställen, medans vissa ställen var helt tomma på knott utan någon uppenbar skillnad på miljön runt omkring.

Fulufjället is very beautiful and i keep on returning to the national park.

Also mostly been in the forrest but it's sure nice to come out on the mountain. It's quite easy in Fulufjället with lots of trails and cabins so it is really a great start for shorter adventures.

@@ScandinavianWilderness yes, but the winds have been to cold and strong for the mountains in January/February.

@@ScandinavianWilderness I did enjoy it a lot. A really good perspective on the forest and the debate about cutting down the forest for plantations. Watching another video now about Grovelsjon :) (probably one of my favorite places on earth) .

It was from that trip i first encountered Töfsingdalen. And i didn't realised it at the time but as the months passed after that trip i found my self thinking about Töfsingdalen and felt that i needed to go back.

Det var i mitten av Juli vi gjorde vandringen. Som jag minns det så var myggen ingen större problem förutom när man gick ner i skogen och då Töfsingdalen speciellt. Men uppe på fjället vill jag minnas att det var lugnt med mygg. Terrängen i Töfsingdalen ska inte underskattas men är man ute efter en utmaning så är det värt att testa.

Ja Gyllbergen var fantastiskt. Jag har faktiskt kikat på Tandövala ett par gånger men alltid slutat med ett annat resmål. Kanske dags att det blir en resa dit i år, låter ju lovande.

Det var 18 Maj 2023 så jag får det till vecka 20 då. Har inte varit där på skidor men hoppas på att få till det snart. Så jag vet inte hur det är med skotrar men kan tänka mig att det är en hel del aktivitet.

It's a nice place. I have another video from the park but at a different lake, Årsjön. That is in my opinion the best place, but i share that opinion with many others, and it can be quite busy there. Hope you get the chance to visit!

I have limited experience with fly fishing but i like to keep things simple so i thought that Tenkara would be a perfect fit for me. But i am not sure anymore. I do feel limited with the range when using the Tenkara but guessing that its not as big of an issue when using traditional fly fishing. I can see Tenkara being a good fishing method when you have lots of open space and can walk along side of the river. Like a small mountain stream, when reach is not as important. Have to try one of those travel flyrods you are refering too, looks like it has good potential. Thanks

Have you tried long rod with short line?

No i haven't tried anything other than the setup i currently have. But i do feel that my line is too long and i would have better control if it was slightly shorter.

@ScandinavianWilderness I have a 540 that is a two handed rod. 15ft is a lot to control with one hand.

Just had a check and my rod is 388 cm (12.9ft). But it does makes sense to rather have a longer rod with shorter line compared to the other way around.

Hi. I don't have too much experience from the west coast but i would say anything north of Gothenburg works well. The video is from the islands Tjörn and Flatö and the snorkeling was not planned, i just jumped in the water when i had the chance and had a look around. So from my limited experience i get the feeling that the snorkeling is good pretty much anywhere on the west coast.

Tack och kul att du uppskattade filmen. Hade ju vart kul med lite fisk också men Östersjön är i ett sånt dåligt skick så det är tragiskt. Annat är det på västkusten, kikade in på dina filmer och vilka fina fångster. Där verkar det finnas fisk eller så har det kanske med vem som står bakom spöt.

Har inte varit där på länge men givet att kaminen fortfarande är i bruk och att det finns ved så ser jag inte att kyla kommer vara något problem.

Kanske inte så mycket skog i Danmark men mycket annat som är fint. Och räknar man med Grönland också så finns det ju otroliga vildmarksområden.

Happy you enjoyed the video and thanks for your comment. I checked out your channel and you seemed to be very busy with the packraft! I still haven't tried but that needs to change soon since i really like the idea of it. I have been canoeing Gördalen but there are so many other smaller streams where i guess the packraft would be more suitable over the canoe.

@@ScandinavianWilderness Packrafts indeed offer a wealth of possibilities for new adventures, whether it is relaxed flat water paddling, whitewater paddling or combined hiking / paddling tours. Definitely recommend to give it a try.

Thanks, happy you enjoyed the video. Vedungsfjället is not a bad place if you are after a shorter trip since it's not so big. Also, if you are traveling from the south then it is pretty much the closest mountain area. But for longer trips then i think grövelsjön and Femundsmarka still would be a better choice.
