Hi, regarding gaffa tape, what brand do you use?

I prefer Gorilla tape when I can get it the right colour for my design 🎈

Thank you. I mainly use Qualatex or Sempertex (also known as Betallatex in some countries) balloons, both of which are good quality. If you search online for these brands, you should be able to find a seller in your country. I hope this helps ☺️ 🎈

Hi. I work out my prices based on the direct costs of an item plus a percentage contribution to the overheads of my business plus a profit margin. These figures will differ from business to business, so my prices would not necessarily be applicable to another business. I hope this helps.

There could be a few reasons for this. Here are a few possibilities. Darker colours are more prone to popping if it's warm and sunny. How long old are the balloons? If you still have the bag, there should be a small date code on the front in the bottom right corner. Latex balloons biodegrade over time and more quickly when exposed to air and light. Best if you can store them in an airtight container in a drawer. Do the balloons feel soft and silky? If they feel hard and a bit crinkly, that's an indication they are past their best and you may need to buy new ones. I do find that the darker colours of other brands also don't last as well as lighter colours. With new balloons, you should be able to reverse a twist and then retwist. I hope this helps. Melanie

@@BalloonArtworks Hi Melanie! Thank you for your prompt response. I have had this since the moment I opened them, unfortunately. It has been a few years now but my Quartz Purple and Maroon balloons are still amazing. Just like my Diamond Clear and Chrome balloons. All the balloons feel the same as when I bought them but that might be because I stored them in their original bag within a dark cool box in the depths of my room, haha. They all indeed feel soft and silky (: But when I blow up the brown ones, for example, it just feels way too thin, the material. As if the slightest friction would make it pop and that is indeed what happens, unfortunately. .... I just checked the date of the Chocolate Brown per your date-check suggestion... I bought these balloons in 2021... All the bags are from 2021 except the brown ones. Those are from 2018. This explains absolutely everything. Urghhhhhh. Thank you so much. Going to purchase new ones right now. Hoping they'll make a difference. Thank you so much!

You're absolutely right! I hadn't thought of that before ☺️ ☺️

Unfortunately Qualatex have stopped making 321s since I made this video - I think they're only making them in white these days. As an alternative, you can achieve a similar effect using the tip of a 350 - cut off a 4 to 5 inch piece at the tip and inflate that and leave a small part of the tip uninflated. Or, try the spiral version of the mermaid tail which I also show in the video. I hope this helps. Melanie 🧜‍♀️

@@BalloonArtworks How did I miss this! I was actually looking for the ‘Knight Chesspiece’ that you have photos of on your website. It would appear that particular design is similar but has a twisted mane, doesn’t appear to be made with quick links and has a neck made from 260s. I will try to see if I can work that out some how myself 😊. Thank you so much for your prompt and expedient reply to my comment and request though.
