What an unusual deck! I can hear in your voice how the art truly appeals to you. As for me, the art feels a bit abstract. Perhaps even a bit geometric. My favorite card here is The High Priestess, re-named "The Wise Woman". I really enjoyed the re-naming of the cards. Like a tilting of a kaleidoscope. Also, The Empress, re-named "The Protectress". How beautiful she is! She suggests a classic gorgeous French woman that I imagine in my mind's eye. How interesting this little deck is. It captured me. I can see why you like it. Thank you so much Monica! I'm new to your channel and very happy I found you. Kickstarter is a rare thing for me, mostly because of postage. I'm in the States and it seems so many of my favorite decks are either from AU or Great Britain. Postage is so high right now. I'm also starting to look at the second hand market. It seems that my taste runs to those decks that are either older or OOP. LOL!! I'm an artist as well as a reader and I have been thinking about starting my own deck, however, the market is becoming so saturated and AI decks are becoming more and more prominent. Thank you again for your time, it's fun watching you. I also have the Sea Soul Journey and also gifted one to my daughter that is a real sea lover. They are so soft and calming.

And I'm happy that your reading turned out this way!! 🌈 In regard to the Ace of Thunder, maybe the deck is telling you that it is "limited" because it does not always provide instant clarity; that sometimes, you will need to sit with the cards for a while to allow your interpretations to surface. That it's not necessarily a deck you could use for quick readings; that you must take your time with this deck. Maybe?? (By the way, I don't see those things as limitations!!) ✨⏳💖

Makes me sad to see some people are giving up on Kickstarter decks 😭 bc other people ruined it.

It's sometimes hard to put the shield down when you've been through abusive situations and had people let you down or back stab you all your life.. it's not easy to soften ..it takes time and healing sometimes. You can't force it either. but nonetheless it is a hopeful message.

As an American (who has lived in New Zealand permanently for more than 20 years), I have watched the troubling events up there for the last few years. I feel like I'm standing in the 9 of Wands card. And I feel drained. Whew! I love the Oracle card: "Allow". How perfect it is. "May you soften into what is", it says. Oh yes indeed. May it be so. I feel a softening in my shoulders just in your presenting the card and reading its exhortation to us. Thank you!! Oh, and I miss Book Depository, too!

I'm NOT the person who put in this question for you to have a look at, but I'm happy to say I really enjoyed it. I like this deck! And your interpretations that accompanied each card just brought the art to life and also added so much to my own understanding of these cards. I particularly liked your pointing out that the "taking a break" message in the 4 of Swords is quite different than the "day dreamy notion" in the Page of Cups. My moon is Pisces, and I have Sun, Asc and Pluto in the 12th, so I can easily slip into a dreamy mode when I feel overwhelmed by something, even if it's only a sink full of dirty dishes that I don't really want to deal with. 😏 Actually, the 4 cards that came up for "what to do" and "what not to do" could easily be a daily meditation on the choices before me each day. I really liked the way these particular 4 came forward, and the way you brought them to life. Thank you, Monika! I hope your subscriber sees this, and takes in the encouragement from these cards, and from your beautiful interpretation of them.

I saw this tarot for the first time a couple of years ago and it's been on my watchlist ever since. Theres something about the simplicity of it that I find really appealing.

I love the look of The Little Sister Tarot! I can imagine it would be quite soothing and supportive to work with. I am with you on the Ai stance, I refuse to buy any decks that contain this type of manipulation.

Goddess Tarot is lovely, I found it on Amazon UK for £23, cards only but I believe it's the standard edition. And that Little Sister Tarot is gorgeous, I love blue and turquoise too, the backs are so lovely too. Tough decision to let go of decks, I decluttered a lot of mine and later on regretted it, so now I am not really sure about deck decluttering, but I am planning to buy a bit more mindfully.

I have the Goddess tarot deck and book set, bought it last year and I don’t Think that one is out of print. At least it’s still for sale. There is also a single deck, both from 2002 still for sale. But both are with blue boxes and blue backs of the cards so I don’t think it’s pocket size. It was so disappointing when bookdepository closed last year! I think Wordery and Blackwell’s have worldwide shipping. I sometimes buy from them if the price in Norway is much higher 😊

Thank you so much for your great review and speaking to its quality and design. The upcoming WEISER Books edition has called it STARLORE Arcana, instead of "tarot." So when I was working with them, I agreed with your thoughts and why we changed it. I also combined cartomancy to make up for the fact that it isn't a full tarot deck. I worked very hard redesigning this deck and in writing the tarot/cartomancy interpretations for it too. About the mix-matched idea: as a creative writer and long-time tarot practitioner, I feel my interpretations in the accompanying STARLORE Guidebook match interestingly with the original John Lenthall cards with tarot associations inspired by the Rider-Waite-Smith tradition. That was my total aim and I write from an intuitive and poetic approach so I feel I was able to make those distinctions and connections. You did mention the book makes an attempt to tie in, so I appreciate that you said it holds value. I am glad you like some of the concept as an oracle, that is how I use it too! I appreciate your opinion and perspective and I will take that into account. The add-ons were just freebies as Kickstarter folks generally enjoy. I enjoyed this, Monika. I have this deck, and I forget about it sometimes. This reading inspires me to pull it out. I love the suggestion of quiet inner work that is highlighted in this reading. It seems I am usually in this sort of energy. As winter deepens in New Zealand, I feel pulled to load the ships in the 3 of Wands and set them to sail. I am a guidebook heavy person, but I definitely agree with what you have said here. I am pushing myself lately to dive into the imagery in the card before opening the guidebook. And it is helping me. I love quirky decks. I have not seen this one before, but it’s right up my alley. I just purchased the Hayworth tarot recently. Now that is a wildly quirky deck and I love it! Another good quirky deck for me is the law of attraction tarot. It kind of reminds me of the artwork in this deck you used here. Lots of room for personal interpretations. Thank you for sharing this video!

I completely agree with you on this. I feel like we should look at the meanings as a guideline only and look at the artwork as the driver of your intuition. This is why I do not get all hung up on always worrying so much about the meanings. Sometimes it can be about the numbers the element or one thing in the card that really dictates the message. Hello Monica. It has been quite a while since I last visited your channel. I am so happy that I again came across your channel. I have had some health issues, although I enjoy very good health, but the aging process brings a few surprises now and then. All is well. In your description of yourself (in the "About Me" section) you share that you "practice a nature based spirituality, honouring the cycles of the Moon, Sun, seasons and the inherent magic and wonder of our Mother Earth". If I was going to write an "About Me" for myself, it would be just the same as yours. This in itself was a wonderful validation for me. By that I mean that sometimes I have a look at my life, and I wonder if I recognize and accept that my love of nature, and all the animals on my place here, and my love of the cycles of the planets and the seasons is actually a form of spirituality. As I grow older, I realise that it is indeed. I do believe that spirit guided me right to your channel this eve. when the 4 of Pentacles came up in the reading, I looked at the image on the card and felt right at home. It looks like my life, including the suggestion in the image that the woman might be a bit surprised to see someone looking in. This made me smile. Thank you for this reading, Monica. I’m a big fan of this wonderful deck! Great health spread you’ve come up with for using with this. Health readings for others can be tricky. But agreed that they can be very helpful for those who are already doing the work of looking after their bodies. I Was just thinking today that I needed to work with this deck again. This was a great video! I agree with a lot of your points. That said, I love stickers 😂. If I get a deck that comes with stickers, I use them in my tarot journals... especially if I do a special study on that deck, I use the stickers in the special journal I have for that deck 😅.
