She taught til she was 86 , and she said she couldn't retire completely because they trying to prevent the teaching of the "hard truth". I didnt even know Hard History was a real saying til i seached a few minutes ago while thinking of Mom.

Southern Poverty Center is now a self-enriching cruel joke. But this segment is fairly presented. It is well to remember Jefferson Davis truly believed he was preparing his captives for self-governance. This is why a former captive who 'made it' in America supported the Davis family. The Christian thing to do. But with the opening of new virgin lands to the east, the economic value of 'slaves' increased rapidly. Family 'slaves' were 'sold down the river'. Into true brutal proto-industrial absolute chattel slavery plantations. The cotton gin made the economy extremely profitable. So profitable the plantation owners were among the richest and most powerful people on earth. This matter then as it does today. The Intelligent Piety of our First Awaken was oft perverted by new 'progressive race science'. Nasty pieces of work like Morton were handly tools of Democrat or progressive politics. Like the Global Warming political state cult for progressives today. Same political tactics just different targets. Some clergymen were perverted by it. The church is made of imperfect people. But the Second Great Awakening led by Baptists and Methodists was the force of Abolition. This is attested to by the Church being the foundation of the American Black ethnicity culture. Serious students, please be careful of what had been done to this once grand American institution - SPLC. They are self-enriching and absorbed material nihilist post-modern progressives. This is why the long-serving elders left. Years ago now. Please study Freddrick Douglas. Yes, I believe God had a purpose and therefore was with him. But he was also of the greatest Americans as a man. Had we studied his wisdom more seriously? Perhaps the SPLC would still be a true economic development organization. Mr. Douglas expects nothing less than you take back this venerable institution.

The part people always forget is that slavery is not an American concept. For thousands of years it has unfortunately thrived and arguably in some sense or another does today. In the late 1700's during the founding of the US, slavery was not a US problem ... it was a British problem ... the US didn't exist then!. As British colonies, the King was in charge and allowed slavery in his colonies. Britain alone was to blame for slavery in what became US and the founding fathers had to walk a fine line between independence, war and outright economic despair for the southern colonies if they abolished slavery in the soon to be US right at the beginning (they were holding a flaming bag of shit). At the time, independence from Britain was more important than an all out fight with the southern colonies over slavery. You don't have to like it ... it's history! End of the day, slavery in the US colonies was a British problem we were left do deal with when we became our own nation by force. And we didn't handle it in the best way we could.

Ur argument is irrelevant & not factual. Never heard anyone argue slavery is an American concept. The system of race based chattel slavery used by colonial British America & continued by the US is common knowledge. Slavery wasn't a motivation in the founding fathers/the 13 colonies signing the DoI & waging war against England. Slavery was legal in 12 of the 13 at the start of the war. The DoI only unified them on declaring independence & wasn't binding. The Constitution was the binding document & slavery was only debated for tax & election purposes.

Interesting! Let's teach about slavery! OK but let's not teach about African bigger tribes warring against smaller and enslaving the losers! No let's not! Let's not teach that they were sold to make money. Selling your own! Nope! Let's not teach that! The Spanish enslaved who was it the Mayan? Aztec? Nope! Let's not teach about THAT slavery! We refuse to teach the Holocaust how 6 million were murdered because of religion mistaken for a race! Blacks want slavery taught but couldn't care less about the Holocaust! We refuse to teach the history if interning Japanese-Americans blaming them for Pearl Harbor! Blacks said nothing! They didn't care! We won't teach in school the interning of South American immigrants people have forgotten about from 2017 and how their kids were stolen! Let's not teach how badly the American Indians were treated and how their lands were stolen and how their children were stolen from them and put into Mission Schools, cut their hair, gave them White names and forced to be good little Christians! Let's not teach about antisemitism in America and anti Muslim hatred in the country showing our history of hating other religions! Excuse me! Slavery is NOT the only thing in history not taught right or taught at all! Compared to what happened during the Holocaust to people slavery was easy in comparison! Slaves were brought here to work on plantations on land stolen from the Indians! We refuse to teach that! Cherry picking history to teach!

Enslavement of other nations hinders more than that nations' growth, it hinders earths' growth as a well. Enslavement of a nation causes an imbalance of mental stability on a national level that is psychologically irreversible in the long term. It's like scattering an army of ants that built a large mound 12 inches high. It's like kidnapping a child for years and traumatizing it every day of its' life. The thematics of the KJV bible and other biblical translated works, tells several ancient and prophetic stories of such a nation surviving in current time. This nation is the direct descendant of Adam and Eve extending through famous biblical patriarchs named Noah, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The book of Genesis tells how the generational offspring (starting with Abraham) would one day be thrown into 400 years of slavery by God. According to Deuteronomy 28 and other biblical stories this tragic event is caused by disobedience to the commandments of this God. Howbeit, this 400 year slavery occurrence will also culminate into earths near complete destruction. This occurrence is known as ARMAGEDDON. It is only reversible when the nation suffering the prophetic 400 year slavery is released and restored to its' rightful rulership of earth. There have been severe tragedies happening in the earth like horrific weather patterns, famines and out of control diseases killing by the thousands, multiple volcanoes and hurricanes.
