Just a couple of north Louisiana guys enjoying life outdoors. This channel highlights some of the things we do to let loose. Fishing, hunting, running the bayous, etc.
They thought we were just fishing...
Dad, Levi, and I took a weekend trip to the fishing camp. Definitely had more productive trips, but that's not the only reason we were there.

2024 Gator Tail Savage Series Walkaround

All the details of my new 2024 Gator Tail Savage Series 1750 and how I had it built out.
Can’t lie that is a good looking boat. Almost pulled the trigger on a gatortail.
Thank you, sir. I still love it so far, and I've been steadily getting it more setup to my liking.
@@bayouboysla hell yea have to keep checking for new videos. I ordered a prodigy a few weeks ago and running a gtr40. Was wanting to know what 2 blade you use and pitch also for your exhaust are you enjoying the stainless. I’ve been up in the air between that one or a voodoo with a baffle. What are your thoughts
if you dont mind me asking how much did a rig like this cost?
Anywhere from 25k and up, depending on the options and accessories.
The damn lope on that engine sounds great!!!!👍🏻
Would have been nice to see it right out of the box close up instead of from your fixed angle and to hear it a little more once it was installed
I showed the unboxing, so I'm not sure what you're meaning by that part. Had plans to get more videos up but timing hasn't cooperated. You can hear it in my latest one, though.
Sweet rug man. What kind of light strips are those? Also, what battery do you run and do you have any issues running accessories for long periods?
The strips are Seelite Sabers. I run them all on my cranking battery. I also run a voltage stabilizer between the battery and the Yak Power control module. I had issues popping fuses before I installed that. Now no issues at all with any of it.
Thanks for the reply man!!
You bet! I forgot about the battery question. I'm running an Interstate 12V lead acid cranking battery. Up front for my TM I'm running a lithium 24V so all of my accessories are ran off my cranking battery. I do have a step-down converter on standby in case I need to move anything to the lithium, but I haven't needed to yet.
Do you have a link to that edge trim?
This is what I got: M M Seals - Edge Trim Black Fits 1/5 Inch (4.9mm), Leg 0.65 Inch (16.6mm), Length 40 Feet (12Meter) - Protective Edging Strip for Car Door Seal & Boat a.co/d/0ihCtScB
Thanks you!
Great job showing the people cooped indoors what’s going on outside in the living world… I live pretty much off grid and love sharing the somewhat insignificant but marvelous things we all are to busy to normally get to witness. Stay Out there and enjoy! Life’s short, go outside! Thanks
I have a custom Gatortail 1750 Extreme cutdown hull with a GTR 40…….you will not be disappointed with your rig.
Nice boat. Can you say why you chose this motor over the pro drive or mud buddy? Im looking to build for same purposes as you.
I know more about the GT than I do the others. But the biggest reason is because of my dealership. They have a great relationship with GT and I have a great relationship with them. I think it's honestly a Ford/GM/Ram situation, though. That being said, I do love this engine and this boat.
@@bayouboyslalike your setup bud, I am debating between the single motor setup or dual motor setup. Also something that can handle freash and salt and still work like a tank. Can you please post links for the lights ?
The front light and the rooster tails came from Southern Lite LED. The interior/exterior blue lights came from SeeLite.
What app do you download to Bluetooth your lights, accessories, etc?
I just bought a boat very similar to yours from Ludwig. @bayouboysla
That red rooster tail is badass
The red light on the back was definitely a good choice.
I have seen all sorts of GTR's go from either no spin in neutral to really fast, I think it is just boat dependent. My 35 spins in neutral fast enough to push the boat a few mph, some people can stop theirs spinning with their foot when on the trailer but mine (and yours) you definitely could not lol. That is a nice setup though.
Yeah I don't think I'll be using body parts to try to stop this one! It def pushes the boat in neutral. Just enough to get me in a bind if I'm not watching. Lol
@@bayouboysla lmao yeah when I first got mine I posted in a forum and one guy was like just stop it with your boot and I was like I think we are having a little different amount of prop spinning, this will take my foot off. Ready to see this boat running in some mud.
Not much mud up here right now with all the rain we've had this year but so am I. We'll be doing a video on a couple weeks showing if polishing the prop, cutting the skeg, and adjusting the trim pin will make the boat faster or slower, though.
@@bayouboysla Same in the middle of La. The trim pin was the best thing I bought imo. No speed gains but that giant barge I have finally started planing out quicker in deep water dropping it down one. That xd is gonna eat though. Looking forward to seeing it run.
I talked to GT for 45 minutes this morning. I asked about the prop spin. They changed some things up in the lower for '24 and it freed up some tension. That's why the new ones spin more in neutral, especially on the trailer. So at least there's an explanation now. Lol
Keep ‘em comin
BPS makes exhaust
Looks great. In vid it sounds deeper at idle and about the same to me when revving. I thought it was gonna be a Harley for sure. 😂
Nope. I told you I did my research! Lol
@@bayouboysla you read it on the internet so it must be true. Lmao
Killer boat buddy. Let’s see it in action!
