The most amazing thing you'll ever see a kitty do. So I got a couple of pigs in the spring. A few weeks later, a little kitty shows up and starts hanging around with the pigs. It was sleeping on them on cold nights, they play together etc. The other morning i went out to feed them and here is what I find. The kitty is actually Suckling on the male pig. Who says teats on a boar are worthless?

    Tempered glass doesn't always have a logo on it. Some people who would want tempered shelves or tabletops would not want a logo. We would order them and request No Logo.

    I placed a 1/4" mirror on a angle grinder fitted with a sanding disk. Worst finish ever. As I went around the corners literally chunks and globs were flying off, yes small globs just flying off.

    I needed a special size mirror for a project I am doing. I couldn't find the size I needed anywhere, So I was going to buy a larger mirror and cut it down. I found the American Glass and Mirror CZcams tutorial about glass cutting. Guy did such a good job on the tutorial, I decided to call them up and see if they had the needed size. I was able to purchase the size needed and not worry about possibly breaking up a larger mirror. Nice "Guy", great service.

    How to break off a smaller piece of the side, about 2 inches wide? I feel it is hard to apply an even pressure with hand on both side. It is a large sizer mirror and I just want to cut it short. I didnot find a good video to show the tricks. Mose cut is through the middle, or using a small piece for demo. To cut a small piece from a large thick mirror is what I am looking for. Thanks!

    • @Americanglassandmirror

      That can be difficult. You can take your glass cutter and tap under the score to start the run. I like to start in the middle and work to the sides

    • @Americanglassandmirror
      @Americanglassandmirror Před 4 lety

      1/2" glass is more difficult to cut. The thickness makes it hard to run the score. Plus it almost always has to be polished after because the edge is not very smooth. Good luck!

    I'm sure this is a great lesson in glass cutting. I know absolutely nothing about it so my thoughts amount to what I blame my dog for even though I'm the one who stepped in it . . . However if the very expensive pro cutter works no better than the $3 cutter, it may not be a professional . . . And I couldn't get any farther after I was told about everything I wouldn't have or anything close to it.

    hello, this is very helpful.Thanks for the video. I wanna ask something : I have a glass dining table with 1/4" and I want to cut it. However, I do not know which cutter i should buy. Do glass cutters come with different glass-thickness purpose (for example, one glass cutter is for 0.3 mm and the other one is for 0.6 mm, etc.)? sorry for my bad english. I hope u understand what I ask. Thank you

      Hi Old Timer... Yes, there are different companies that make products called, BioClean. Ours is a glass cleaner, but there is a pipe cleaner by the same name. We get ours from a glass supplies company. I've never tried it on a car window, but wouldn't imagine you'd have a problem unless there is a tinted film on the glass.

    This was very helpful only question I have is there better glass cutters or is it the technique mostly that creates good cuts?

    • @Americanglassandmirror
      @Americanglassandmirror Před 7 lety

      Glad you found it helpful, Penny. For non-professionals, most glass cutters are created equally. A $6 Fletcher glass cutter from your local hardware store should fit the bill for the hobbiest or infrequent user. If you are going to be using it quite regularly, then you might consider buying a pen style cutter from CR Laurence or Bohle in the $30 range. That's what most of my guys use, although I'm old school and stick with the green Fletchers since that is what I cut my teeth on.
