do you have an encyclopedia in your head for dates or do you look things up? your suggestions are always so creative, shame he doesn't read them
@@happyfullfridge No encyclopedic memory here. I made the association to the poem then went looking for dates. 1915 was the first date so I searched and didn't find he had read that joke yet, had he read that joke I would have checked 1916 when a slightly different version was published and had he read that I would have checked Robert Frost's birthday and day he died and seen if one of those numbers would have worked.

I've definitely come across quite a few similar jokes throughout this book... I swear I've even seen a word-for-word repeat! I guess proofreaders and editors were in short supply during WWII!
