You shout about your freedom, you bleed for weak and poor. Pouring out your conscience, of which you're really sure. But who will save Democracy when all the killing's done? Certainly not you, with your bombs and knives and guns. Bodies of the fallen, will be your epitaph. You may not laugh the longest, but you will not laugh last. And who will save Democracy when all the killing's done? Certai...

Hello from Germany! I´m 120 years old. This music was played when I still went to school.
You hear this and think,"Maybe that album was better than I remember." It's not.
Your Taken Quaaludes And cheap booze You're always falling down And saying Please excuse me baby I'm stoned
Listened to them back on the 70’ while burning up our minds.
Omg i loved this as a teen. And now... Tears come to my eyes in today's world 😢
Frightful ventures. Upns
Grew up the street from mark chatfield now he's with Bobseger. He started his career very young like maybe 3rd or 4th grade and he was definitely different he was different...
I have fond memories of campfire evenings with this LP on the boom box, skin-tight jeans and wet eyes watching the ash sparks and plumes of bong shots in the night sky. I am grateful to have experienced this time with this music.
🤘🖤🦇💀🦇🖤🤘
Mark Chatfield use to hang out with my neighbors. They were in the avengers motorcycle club and they would make huge Tupperware bowls of soper powder. I would use a wooden soup spoon and eat it Loved that and Lemmon 714s. Btw I was 14 back in 1980 and was dating a 23 yr old. Take me back to those days.
Jesus this band was weird… without trying to be. I mean, being marketed as a “dressed in all white” KISS opposite band was weird enough all by itself, but the fact that they were doing the whole glam rock thing a good 4 or 5 years after glam had died out (but long before it got popular again in the 80’s), in the middle of disco and new wave pushed them even further into the bizarro-sphere. I guess Bill Aucoin saw something in them though. He certainly tried to market them, like some experiment that never yielded any positive results. Anyway, this song, which is obviously a direct response to “I Was Made For Lovin’ You” by their much more successful label mates… and their appearance in “Foxes” was the closest they ever came to the big time. I guess they got to open for some pretty big acts, but looking back they were more of a niche curiosity than anything else. Kind of Spinal Tap-ish in a way. Someone should make a documentary about these guys.
Oh, and I forgot to mention the keytar! Greg Giuffria was playing the f’n keytar in the 70’s! He was a pioneer 🤣
Some M-N-E-M-O-M-I-C.
TRES Cool/Heavy
Throw it out of the car, Asshole!! C'mon man!!!
I remember Vendetta- and at that time it was a BIG deal to be signed to Atlantic records- a real big deal!!! and this album is great hard rock/ blues rock rock performance.... Nikki Buzz is still alive and well- living in Amsterdam.

The singer sounds like the Miles Goodwyn from April Wine. Great voice.
Gorecore metal at its finest.
Played bass for them for about a year. The genre is "GoreCore" thrash metal.
Bogarts. Went to school with Rocky's younger brother, Kevin until I got expelled in '82.
Wtf
The Godz Rule Blew Me Away With Their First Album One Of My Faves And Top 10 And Love All Their Releases R i.p. Eric Moore!
I used to listen to Angel in my headphones went I went to sleep as a teen, I Remer all of this... 😅 Too bad Casablanca went "dark"" and backed Kiss.
Where's "We're gonna Make it"?
Como kizz tubieron su temita rock disco esta banda era 100% hard rock
They borrowed a few ideas from Foreigner's Double Vision but I like it. The lead singer looks like he wants to sell me a stereo.
best sick band from those years.
What a great tune!!! Hits the soul right where you want it to! Love it!!!
4EVER!!!
58 secs of stupid sound effects leads you into the band that sucks and the singer that can't.
Bad take. This shit kicks ass
Happy GODZ DAY everyone!!! That's right, it's that EVERYTHING YOUR PARENTS EVER WARNED YOU ABOUT' day again, 7/14!!!
I had the first 8 track tape of the Godz and I was probably 12 years old if that and me and my friends and everyone else in listening distance learned what The Godz RNR Machine was and as far as I know These Badd Ass Boys are still Running 😅
Cool video showing those awesome old flyers, merch and rare zine reviews, etc.
Agreed. Interesting how brutal death metal was called grind in the early days. Makes sense cause some BDM bands focused on the intensity over technicality. It's super interesting to see how genre names have changed over the years. Never thought Rottrevore would be called crust.
@@bryannguyen1260 ???...I've never heard that before man. I would argue that Rottrevore isn't "crust" at all...the production is crusty (ha) but the "Crust" genre is a more extreme style of D-beat punk/hardcore, etc. Back in the early days, 'Grind' was just a term used to describe anything that was heavy and cool at that time (likely from 80s skater lingo). But after the genres grew and split from each other...grind became synonymous with blast-driven bands like early Napalm Death, Carcass, Brutal Truth, Phobia (US), etc...usually with more 'socially and ethically conscious' lyrics or lifestyle (Carcass being into veganism in the early days etc). Basically when punk and metal fans became further divided over time is when grindcore became a more stylistically distinctive.
@@vesuviacorpseflower4828 At 3:21, it says Rottrevore are "Deadly Crust Freaks". I never thought of them being crust punk but they have that political punk lyrics. There is a lot of overlap between death metal, goregrind, slam metal, brutal death metal, grindcore, and deathgrind despite the aforementioned division between punk and metal you talked about. Mortician is a good example of being both grind and metal.
@@bryannguyen1260 True...but crust became it's own genre (embraced by the more 'extreme' punks mostly). It's not even worth mentioning honestly...it's just fast, sloppy, and repetitive punk music -ha.
TRES Heavy!
25 or 6 to 5?
Underrated asf
How in the World the song Did not Make the. Top forty
They try to tell us rock and roll is dead. BUT GODZ ROCK AND ROLL AIN'T DEAD !
This must've been an awesome concert!
Awesome band. they were about 15 -20 years before their time.
Interesting comparing the original to the re-recorded version on "I'll get you rocking" in 1985.
A gem of the good old times. Fantastic in its simplicity and grandeur at the same time.
What a great album to start off the 80s . I actually like the vocals on this record.
I remember reading about this band in Kerrang. Glad I found this.
real death metal is made by sociopaths with criminal minds, the modern soy trust fund hipster west coast kid dayglo pizza death metal bullshit can all go blow a goat, go back to being hipsters or homoass hardcore, fuck off!
