Actually, the best help I can get is if you could help spread my videos on social media or with friends of a similar bent. I'd appreciate that because every little bit counts (but, I see it as a big thing). I'm glad that my music can connect with you and that's my goal. In fact, if you'd have suggestions I could try, I could possibly play, that'd be cool. Your feedback is very helpful and encouraging and welcomed. Get practicing! Do your own thing - I've taught myself how to play in my "style" over the years. Learning from youtube videos is new to me, but I have found a few tricks by doing this. I've been thinking about starting a channel with lessons only on there for people to learn how to play the things I've learned and "invented" myself. What do you think?

can you see the chords I'm playing? There is more to the song. My buddy has what Bruce plays down (at least the basic riff part)! I play unusual versions of the Em-D-C)...

Yes I can see the chords but my fingers would find the stretch on some a bit too hard ! As yet anyway ! Always hoping ! Still stuck at the low part of the neck...and fingers shortish (damn) and getting bit stiff in my old age..I guess the em d and c chords simple shapes you mention suggest that they are the Basic progression of the song .?....So I will try to experiment !? I too have a friend who has the skills to embellish my basic attempt...Anyways Many thanks again and I hope I have interpreted where you were going in the comment/reply ? All the best ..

Having just replied to yr mail Mike ,, was just listening to Yr rocket L again...Like it more and more and singin along (such a great song after all ...another one that I had forgotten about ...like a many thousand others that I similarly can’t play !) Mind if I ask something ? What guitar is that you are using and age?? Sounds like one of my own somehow..? But better !

Somehow, there are little kids like playing all kinds of things with tiny hands. Maybe try watching some of them. You're going to have to move your left hand around a lot as you could play part of the stretching type chords as you pick down the strings and then back up. I too am feeling the effects of age - arthritis is setting in and sometimes my fingers lock up, but I just saw they have medicine for that now! Keep at it because you will be able to do more than you ever thought you could as you progress. Probably a good thing to keep your fingers and hand playing - maybe it therapeutic? Hot wax baths for your hand are a thing they did back in the 70's. I hope you don't get too much pain in all this. You can do it if you just keep at it a bit at a time. I've always been not too swift with video games, but by playing for about a half hour a week at my excellent-guitar-playing friend's place, I've actually become better over the past few years or so. Same with the guitar. I don't practice like some do and they become demigods on the guitar with intense, concentrated practice. But, I tell you, just a little bit like I said will add up over time and you'll be doing things you can only dream of now and what else do we all have to spend as we see fit. @@gortagnan

Thanks again Mike...sound advice especially moving left hand around more ...I have on / off for yrs developed bad habit (gripping too hard and rigid..hard to break that one)..No arthritis hopefully just lack of flexibility through little use of ‘wider’ chords. When (?) and If I can achieve some of those chords I will get back to you but that will take some time of course..! For such a song anyways... .. I will begin again with some ‘simpler songs’ (They often are harder because so many aspects to doing a song ok are involved..Sure you know what I mean. You having covered SO Many ...respect And Hats off etc..All I really want is to just do two or three max when we and friends have a little jam in our local pub fortnightly..I do more harmonica backing of late but that is a ‘cop out’ truthfully from guitar playing...but all good fun if I get the harp key right !! Yes a little bit at a time BUT sticking with a one song instead of constantly trying new ones (rabbit hole stuff again) I have saved about 1000 songs in my ‘must practise’ file on iPad !!! No more ! Trouble is...there are so many good songs out there ! And I must not get tempted until I can do a few songs that I really like...Great advice Mike and from time to time I will look on yr pages for inspiration as Ive hardly scratched the surface of yr output..! All the best for now ..from over the pond !
