BCS 749 walk behind tractor spreading grass seed
zhlédnutí 2,8KPřed 9 lety
I had an area about an acre that needed fescue seed spread, and I had an old spreader designed to tow behind a lawn tractor. I was curious if it will work with the 2 wheel tractor. It will.

This is the second video of two. THis video has less explanation, but shows how to use the techniques from part 1 in full speed. To see how quickly you can actually clear an area once you get the hang of it.
BCS tractor with 30" Combo mower on steep slope.
zhlédnutí 11KPřed 9 lety
Testing the 30" combo mower from BCS. Its a no-frills cheaper mower that works well. This is an older version with only one front caster wheel. My only complaint would be that it is so light that the tractor wants to do wheelies when you try and travel up a slope with the mower in front. Because of this I discovered when travelling up-hill, you need to put the mower behind the wheels and walk n...
BCS tractor and Zanon 40" mower on steep slope
zhlédnutí 17KPřed 9 lety
This is a video of me testing out my new 40" zanon finish mower on a steep side yard hill on my property. The grade is between 20 and 30 degrees although its hard to tell from the video. i'm impressed with how clean a cut it left on my yard. It is a very heavy mower. It has no trouble staying down when walking uphill, but the weight has some drawbacks. if you are mowing much of a slope, you rea...
BCS tractor generator attachment

Showing off the use of my generator attachment for my BCS 749 walk behind tractor. In this video i was cutting some steel roof with an angle grinder. I have also used the generator to power our house during power outages and for welding away from house. It is a surprisingly powerful generator. And I like not having another engine to worry about needing maintenance. I use my tractor year round, ...

Exacavator cleaning up a stump
zhlédnutí 187Před 9 lety
Using my bobcat Excavator to clean the dirt out of a recently pulled up stump chunk so it could go to curb to get picked up. The whole stump was around 6 feet in diameter and was several interlocked trees. this was the last chunk to pull out. It had been stump ground a year previous, but the homeowner wanted to be able to plant a garden in the spot.

What model Bobcat are you using?
What size excavator were you using?
I like the duals you’ve got on your BCS. What task justified you buying them?
everything out here is super steep. I got it to get more traction when mowing these silly hills

My back part ofmy property look loke this,,lot of dam vines which makes using chainsaw or hand brushcutter impossible,,,thinking of buying walk behind brushcutter but after this may rent a mini excavator
I have 800 hours on my mini and operate it somewhat similar. Brush mowers and mulchers leave way too much trash on the ground, especially like for ATV trails. Once this is all pulled it doesn't ever grow back either. You can also remove the rocks and larger down trees. Handiest machine I've ever owned once you know how to run it.
Case in point, I cut down some trees in my farm. Left what I thought were small limbs...meant to pick them up but forgot. This summer I ran over them with my Fendt 724 and batwing, one branch flipped up into a crevice and broke the water separator shield, a $275.00 plastic cover. Could have been worse/more expensive. On a side note, if an excavator is not available, a tree puller for a tractor loader works good to. If time is spent pushing and pulling the trunk, a good size tree will pull right out root ball and all.
Contemplating procurement of an 853, and I'm on the bubble over whether I want the 40" Zannon mower or the 38" BCS bagger mower. Not sure the BCS is worth the extra $750?
Pick up my first glock gen 3 from *expansion2 on wickr* a few month ago when I turned 25.so far I love it....
Chris over at let'sdig 18 is the top dog at ripping out trees. I love his techniques. He has a really interesting way of taking out trees and folding them up against other trees.
I love running certain mini exes with a thumb. Mostly Yanmar, Komatsu, Takeuchi. I have also ran several other brands that I do not like. Especially cat and John Deere, and a few others.
Wonderful wonderful keep sending some more videos.
A tip for people, pulling on vines as an example, the trees could be rotten above and you can bring stuff down on your head if you aren't super aware of what is above when you start banging into or pulling on things. Always be aware of what is overhead and what angles it's sitting at. I'd go with a good bit larger ex with an extended arm to leave more room between the work and the cab, given a choice to do it. I'm no expert but having messed with an E50 as an example, it's not big and heavy enough for messing with trees much taller than 20' or so and only a few inches across at most. It's a lot more work with a mini too. Something 25k lbs to 40k lbs makes it a breeze of a task. So you trade the cost vs time and risk to you and the equipment.
Kingsqueak- I agree, I appreciate this video but I'd rather have a 20ton excavator with thumb.I would buy a used one of course.
This just happened to me now, in online class, our class is at 8 and it was still 7:40 and my dumb self slept again so i joined very late
I feel like this is a kind of video that will be shown in the recommendation someday
Thanks for the video. As a novice operator to working in the woods, it brough up some problems (and the solutions) that were helpful. Other videos I found were just “watch me work for 15 minutes” and offered no explanation.
what model excavator are you using?
331g bobcat 2008.
That’s one of the most beautifully tact’d out M4’s I’ve ever seen!
Such a beautiful weapon! 🖤🖤🖤
Good vid. Nice reminder that damage can occur.
everything i have seen you clear i can cut with my brush hog and tractor in 5 min thats just vines growing on the ground
Dude take the camera off your head and stop talking .
Good advice on driving over stuff. I tweaked my hydraulic suction line on my tractor with a freak accident. My front tire rolled over a long stick that caused it to raise the other end just high enough for the line to catch it and put a kink in it. $74 line and a couple hours of my time.
Good job man
It would be better if we could of seen the gun.......
Lol. My 10 year old daughter could clear twice as much acreage with a weed whacker than you did with that excavator. Should have titled this "How to Talk Brush to Death".
Worried to much...just clear the brush!!
Quanti CV ha il motore?
Has eye protection, dose not use it. Smart
Neat! It'd be nice to hook that up with a sulky, sort of annoying to have to walk offset behind the BCS.
No offence but you are just dropping water in the ocean with an eye dropper with that machine
Are you clearing for lawn or what? Do you leave any piles for cottontails?
pilum is the singular form pila is the plural
Second declension neuter! The nominative and accusative singular is PILUM. The nominative and accusative "plural" is PILA. Grabs Robert by the ear and forces him at the point of a gladius to write the declension out 100 times!
Nice video, Two things though, you need to raise that anvil, you will ruin your back at that rate. also if you are looking to spread and lengthen the steel quickly, use the horn and a round face hammer. It will make you a metal moving machine.
Very nice! Just to be correct, 1 is called PILUM, more of them are called PILA.
Great video, this really opens up my eyes, all I knew all this is machete that is how we do it around here.
Sam I am not a problem for the same time as well as a few weeks ago I have a great time in the same time as well and you can see that the following link unsubscribe if you want to get back to you in a few weeks
You would have got a lot more cleared with a machete than he did and been home for lunch too.
FWIW, I agree with below about a mulcher. Having said that, they require a big machine to work effectively, a high flow skiddy with excess of 30gpm flow and heavy as the mulcher heads are quite heavy, too. I clear a different species spectrum where I live, have an old KX161 with a 36" brush rake and thumb, it sits on 21.5" steel tracks so getting rubber punched is not a worry. If you want to renovate to grass/pasture, don't be afraid to rip the ground towards you to get a good pile of brush caught with the thumb - the disturbed soil will grow grass just as well and you'll be able to see tree roots a lot better. Leave the bigger stuff till right at the end of your set so you can rip them out and deposit on top of the pile to keep it in place, and the weight will compact the pile making it easier to pick up with grapples later. Or..if you're burning, the small dead stuff at the bottom will do a much better job of ignition.
Damn sure wouldn't have been doing that in an open cab machine. To much risk over finding a wasp or hornet nest and getting tore up.
For 20 acres I would have hired someone with industrial mulcher mounted on a skid steer and had it done in about a week roughly. It's a lot faster with better results.
@Charles... so how big of a check are you willing to write?
I have steering brakes on my 850 but rather than drag one constantly while mowing side hills I usually just lock the diff and it goes pretty straight.
I run the same mower on my 14hp BCS 850 and it works great. Cuts everything up to waist deep in one pass plus alder saplings more than an inch in diameter with no problem at all. I added a 25 pound barbell weight attached where the wheel support bolts to the deck and it works 10x better than standard. The next time the mower is in my shop I'm going to weld on a vertical tube so I can easily vary the amount of nose weight and take it off for easy maneuvering when the mower isn't on the tractor. When I'm going to cut really heavy brush, lots of deep tangling vines, or lots of saplings I unbolt the nose from the deck. Adding the BCS attachment quick disconnect also helped with keeping the nose down when climbing as it adds a bit of PTO length.
what is the type☺☺☺
what is the type
Hi Bob, greetings from Patagonia; great PTO generator solution, small and simple. Same BCS here. If you have a minute, do you mind sharing some details of maker and assembly? Best regards, Michael
What is that chant when they are in the testudo formation?
I want a mucher so bad. I'm going to get one as soon as i've finished saving up. Its about a 4 ton machine.
If you're talking about removing organic material you would do better with a mulcher, not a muncher to pulverize concrete. 😁
denis cimaf dah-080c would be perfect for you're excavator clearing the bush
