There is some serious tensile cracking to the tower/keep elevation at 1' 44" but I would assume this has been addressed? The left hand tower is particularly worrying. Having said that, Lady Anne Clifford is my absolute heroine, that lady is a total legend! :)

Grew up in Warwick in the seventies/eighties and this place is perhaps more fascinating than Warwick Castle. A very atmospheric and spooky place. I remember looking across the water at the house from the back with the autumn mist rising. I also remember ITV filming Sherlock Holmes there and the local paper reporting on the fire that got out of hand during filming. Am I remembering this correctly?
You are quite correct. They were filming a scene where they were making it look like the building was on fire and it went wrong. The flames spread quickly and I think when the fire brigade got there the main hose line burst on them!

I am a member of the Astronomy Centre, and it's a shame I only visit occasionally, what with work and other commitments. But it's a fantastic place and ell worth going to and using. Support it, it's a great local asset
Great video Phil! Can I ask what you filmed this with? And, can I ask where you parked? I was looking to take my Mavic Pro up this way :)
Rich I parked about 1/2 mile after owld bets, there's a little lane on the right that goes up to some cottages. From there I hiked up the lane to the windmills which took about 1/2 hour. I filmed this with my Typhoon H. It was very windy that day, constant 10 -15 mph winds with gusts hitting 30 mph. Not sure if the Mavic would like that but I have flown my Mavic across the road at lumb farm and it was ok. Let me know when you're going, I might be free to join you 😉
