After a magical tour of the region in 2022, we went back, this time with our son. We did not have time to do the whole Gibb, but we went as far as Manning Gorge (about half way up).

The Betty-breakdown Saga

Betty is our 2019 Holden Trailblazer (RG Holden). She has some 200,000 km on the clock, a lot of it touring the bush in Western Australia. This is the first breakdown we suffered, for which we needed towing/recovery. The error code was P0336, which was a Crankshaft Position Sensor error, but it turns out it was damage to the excitor wheel that was the issue (it is in the video). #holden #holden...

The 1902 Model came with two engine variants & two choices of horse power.. 1: Draft Horse in 4 horse configuration. 2: Draft Horse in 6 Horse configuration. 3: Clydesdale in 4 Horse Configuration. 4: Clydesdale in 6 Horse Configuration. South Africa, Zimbabwe and the like are off road but also areas where you could get away with road tyres. Not sure how you made it through muddy areas in H/T - main issue is clogging up. I also think after market business is a hype on many occasions as I have seen so called tough suspensions broken in bits just like the standard. These days getting an honest opinion is a rarity because a lot of You tube videos are covert advertisements.

What truck/ute r u using? Lift kit and AT tyres will give you peace of mind. Pretty knarly in spots. Will you post a video of your trek too? Let me know.
@@bvr4wd I am using a non turbo gq ute with only 2 inches of lift but my mate has all the fruit on his v8 landcruiser so i don't need to worry ha ha.
