This channel is devoted to videos capturing the natural environment around Nanaimo, British Columbia, particularly while kayaking on lakes and other water bodies in the area. Using a GoPro and Sony HD camera, the videos usually attempt to simulate the experience of kayaking alone or with friends, but include short clips from hiking or other activities.
Spider Lake tour
Spider Lake is located west of Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island. The centrepiece of Spider Lake Provincial Park, the lake offers opportunities for great canoeing, kayaking, swimming, and fishing. Mars water bomber

The Hawaii Martin Mars water bomber, along with a Grumman Goose, made its last flight from Port Alberni down the east coast of Vancouver Island to an aviation museum in North Saanich on August 11, 2024. This brief video shows the two planes as they passed by Nanaimo.
Quennell Lake Tour

I would love to put a jetski out there
Nordic Sun went through those rip tides in Dodd Narrows this past summer. Crazy current always better to go with the tide.
That sailboat appeared to make the mistake of not having throttle on when going through at the end. Without throttle to provide way through the moving water, he didn't have any steerage. I bet that was a bit of a surprised to them.
Exactly - he was looking at the shore to determine his speed rather than speed through the water. Typical of sailboat types. And it's why they provide entertainment that you just can't buy. However I followed another powerboat through there once, while stemming a slight flood, and he decided to throttle back, which made life interesting until I got his attention. Complete idiot.
