    An October 7th survivor said, “We had choiceless choices”. I think the operative explanation is that one carries out the best choice as one can as the choice(s) present. To say one is in absolute control of how one responds is senseless. One responds in a way one thinks will have one survive. I’m pretty sure I know nothing really, just my thought.

    What if because of my past Fears I’m not free to choose? What if because I’m addicted to something or love the feeling of something I’m not free from to choose? What if I’m not fast enough and I’m not free to choose to be a sprinter? What if I’m blind and I’m not free to choose to play football? What if I want to work at a job but the owner won’t let me? I don’t think we have the Freedom to choose as you describe. I think The Truth or Reality chooses for us. Yes we may choose to deny the Truth and choose to do things that are wrong for us and others and against Truth or Reality.

    Gotta be super careful with this rhetoric. Did the person make an honest mistake and you flew off the handle? Or were they intentionally hurting you for no damn reason? And you started acting like a highly stressed and hurt person. Ive seen this crap weaponized against victims of abuse my whole life.

    Let’s start a movement to RESPECT Elders. The United States is the worse with respecting older people.

      It was a great idea to start a movement. It is sad that so much has been lost and not respecting the wisdom of those who have left life longest.

    How old is technically "old"?

    • @makingpeaceandbeyond
      @makingpeaceandbeyond Před 27 dny

      Age technically has changed over the past decades from the 40s in 1900 to the 80s in 2020’s and now to the expectation that about 40% of the Gen X and Gen Z’s will live to be 100
