Great song. In the 1960's I went to a performance of a High School orchestra. They performed this as their final number. It was great & rousing. I was a friend of the daughter of the Music Director at the local public school in suburb of New York City.

Thanks for sharing. You were lucky with the weather. The only day I had in that area in 2017 was miserable & raining heavily. All those stairs, tge toilets & the great carpark hadn't yet been built. I didn't venture too far down the track due to the weather. Great to see it finally & all the improvements that have been made.

My avoidant-attachment ex just suddenly broke off our relationship after 18 months, overnight. Two days before, we were making marriage plans. Then, suddenly, cold feet and broke up with me via text. It was devastating, but as I processed and thought more about the way he thought and acted, the more I realized how hurting he must be inside. This song is him to a T. I want to learn it now on ukulele. Not because I want him back, but to help me process. I love him, always will, even if I don't want to get back together.
