This is a great scene, and it makes for great character development and set up. I have watched this movie 5 or 6 times. I'm no spring chicken myself, and it kind of, speaks to my sole. That said; I was taught that in a knife fight, you are going to get cut, especially if you have no weapon. Count on it. Movies are movies; reality is real. Best defense is to run, if possible, if circumstances allow. Otherwise, a 2 foot, or so, solid stick, or club is about as good as anything, except a gun.
