2024's drive was cloned from the 2023 drive last night.
TDP on both is set to 18w high performance. Both are on battery, both are on Gen 3 for the SSDs. Both are at max brightness.
2024 is using AMD Adrenalin 24.3.1.
2023 is using AMD Adrenalin 23.11.1.
No other notable changes.

As I was in a stripped down trade Cutter, I was slightly concerned with whether or not I'd have sufficient clearance and I've already died twice in this ship due to stupidity. I was smuggling, so going super slow wasn't an option.

Open the Galaxy Map. Plot a complicated route to a destination, then close the map before it finishes. Watch the navigation panel - it will not update the jump information. Wait a sufficiently long time to make sure the plotting will have finished, then return to the Galaxy Map - it has finished. Exit again, and the jump details have updated.

Horizon mode, 80 DR -20 Expo, Nanotech 300mAh 35C. I'm finally happy with this quad's performance. No more LPF needed once I balanced the props, and the leveling response mimics most of my brushed quads. Notice how resilient it is. It still flew level after the crash, and a post-video inspection showed zero damage.

also, would turning off v-sync on the 2024 model make a difference given it's VRR display?
Not sure why it would but then I don't know much about monitors overall. It's slightly washed out - at first I thought it was in HDR mode because it reminded me of my 38GN950 when I turn on HDR in Windows. Obviously it's not; it's just the way the panel is.
Is it just me or is the image quality better on the 2023 version? Not sure if you did any color calibration to the 2024 mini
In my opinion, yes. Phawx also mentioned this in his review. I'm not as bothered by this as I would with the Win Max 2 because I don't care about colour accuracy on the Mini.

Hi, when I use the left throttle to go up like you do @ 3:50 mine starts drifting forward immediately quite fast, do you know how to fix, or counter this?
Firstly, try to put it on a level surface before turning it on. Failing that, put it on a level surface as soon as possible, and then turn on the controller. Sync the controller, and wait for the lights to stop blinking. Secondly, check the propellers. Are the angles for all 8 blades roughly the same? Are they chipped, or distorted in any way? If so, carefully push it back into shape with your nails. Thirdly, check the motor shaft. Any hairs caught up there? Pull off the props one by one by the HUB (the middle) with your nails or some kind of prying tool so that you can check / clean them without risking damage to the props. Aaaaand this is why I grow one nail long. :) BTW, as a priest of the church of the flying spaghetti monster, I approve of your username.
Laga Mahesa Thanks for the reply! I adjusted the trim a HEAP after the re-calibrating on a flat surface seemed to do nothing. Now, it flies stable and can hover perfectly! All well and working. Thank you very much for the reply. Sincerely, Spaghettifondler.
That's really good to hear! I've junked many that developed a bad drift after a lot of bashing as the motors were on the way out or the accelerometer chip was damaged - this doesn't seem to be the case with yours. Nice one!

can it stay stable in the air? like when press throttle up and go offhand ,does it stay in the air?
Do you mean a) let go of the controller entirely, or b) just the movement (right stick/tilt) stick? If (A), no. Nothing this small at this price point has a barometer for altitude control, never mind GPS. You must keep control of the throttle using microadjustments if you want it to hover in place. If (B), with a brand new unit and clean props, indoors with no breeze, yes it will stay fairly still. Again, without the requisite chips and control firmware, it *WILL* drift after 5-20 seconds.

hi, i have a cx-stars mini drone, for some reason after i fly the drone after turning it flys perfectly, but after the first flight 2 or 1 propellors stop working and only flickers some times, when i turn it off and back on again, it works fine, why does this happen and how can i prevent this thanks.
+Guild Unnamed Could be faulty. It sounds like a bad solder joint - as it heats up, the solder flexes and loses connection. I could be way off, but remember that these are built to be cheap so the existing quality control is impressive all things considered.

+Aditya Hendarwan Just take it slow. On a tiled floor is best - enough power to bounce but not fly. This lets you master movement without worrying about up/down. :) Oh, and don't turn/rotate until you're more confident. It takes your brain a few days to get used to relative directions.
Ummm, sorry, probbaly a noob question, but i cannot for the life of me keep my microdrone in one spot. btw, i have and M:Tech Micro Drone and I fly indoors... Plz halp meh!!! XD *Edit:* And whenever I slowly pull the throttle up, it starts to just move along the floor, so i have to do it quickly, then it hits the ceiling or goes drifting (very quickly) off somewhere and i am not pressing any other buttons... :( I NEED HELP!! :)
+Roki Gilbert Moving on the floor is normal, and is the result of 'ground effect'. I would actually suggest that you STAY in that 'hovercraft' mode while you get used to the movement (right stick, tilt, aileron/pitch) controls. That way you don't have to worry about the Z axis yet as a beginner. Once you're comfortable with them, and are able to keep the thing in roughly the same place, THEN start to SLOWLY increase throttle. Remember, if you panic, just zero the throttle. Better it falls and gets dinged than your motors burn out getting stuck on something!
