Hi There a couple of questions if I may ? You mentioned that the rotomoulding type boats are different but can you explain in what aspect as the various brands still use HDPE ? Does the structural integrity change due to the manufacturing process ? If you don't use HDPE for any super structures cabin/cuddy etc and you can't bond anything to the HDPE hull, how do you for a connection between the two elements ? Thank you.

What a sight! I remember her very well. She was based in Durban when I was growing up at the Point Yacht Club. A magnificent vessel. The restoration seems immaculate. Someone with deep pockets & a deep love of a fantastic design. Amazing!

In my opinion, Nicholson writes some of the driest dull marine books out there. Hardly any real world photos and all sorts of tedious mechanical drawings and endless lists. For instance on this video he says of the engine bearers, "they should be 1 and 3/4 times the length of the engine plus the gearbox". What? Just any boat or engine for this rule? A powerboat with 225 hp can have engine bearers only 1-3/4 times the length of the engine?? Or a 75 foot sailboat with a 50 horse engine, same thing???? I prefer Dave Gerr.

Use to own this boat in early 80s. Known as the "Irish Rover". Cruised Puget Sound, British Columbia. To this day is still my dream boat. Glad to see someone who appreciates this type of boat. Truly a home afloat for one or two people. I talked to Dorothy Hanna In the early 70s and she new of twelve Albatrosses that were either built or being built at various places around the world.

Nice presentation!! Planning on installing a Chinese knock off in our Grand Banks. Was planning to tee fuel off of the generator Raycor filter with a brass 3 way on / off valve. I will have positive fuel pressure at the heaters pump as the Raycor is lower than the fuel tank. Any problem with that? Thanks for your insight.

How can I get the certification of a CMID to carry out the inspection on OWF project vessel?

I wonder if you can put together a methods means and presentation of ultrasonic thickness testing of small vessels < 150' (50 meters)

I worry about breaking a seacock when the boat is surveyed in the water.

With regards to camera's I think with todays mobile technology we are getting really good quality photographs and this shouldn't be looked at as an unprofessional approach to record keeping.
