As long as they as present, respect me as a mother and my kids know they are loved I love all the nuances that come with grandparents. When times are tough I look up to the sky and still talk to my grandmother who is has passed on. Treasure them. ❤
And then they wonder why you don’t invite them out to do fun stuff with your friends or other family members. 😂 I’ve just started leaning over to my mom and saying ‘you’re being a kill joy save the negativity for the weekly phone call or don’t bother coming out.’ 😂 I thought she was going to slap me but she responded really well to being bossed around that one instance so I don’t know 🤷🏻♀️
Just so everyone knows, you can't cut around the mold on bread. If you can see the mold, it's too late and the whole thing is a goner.
Cutting around the mold is definitely accurate 😅
I’m traumatised by my aunt because when I was younger she gave me out of date Philadelphia cheese (The spreadable one) and it was mouldy. She scooped out the mould and gave it back to me and my cousin. We ran for our lives! 😂
Hahah ACCURATE
With my MIL, if I tell her about a vacation we’ve planned she will poo-poo over every. single. detail. The hotel I picked is the worst, the city has XYZ wrong with it, here’s where you should go instead. We had a trip to Florida planned, and of course she had all these things to say, but then she plans a very similar destination TWO WEEKS before we go, taking the same driving route and everything, and when she gets back she complains in front of the kids how miserable the trip will be for them, and tells us exactly where to go and what to do. Oh, and she demands a postcard because she sent us one. She had to get there first so she can be the boss. I didn’t expect this to be a rant, but apparently I needed to get that out 😂
My brother once threw an expired bottle of ketchup away at my moms house and she got it back out of the trash. “It’s still good!”
Isn't this the fun of grandparents. The kids will appreciate it
“Mom, can you just not mention who has recently died during our weekly call, just this once” was my mantra when I moved out lmao. MOTHER P L E A S E
Someone needs therapy
she is right about it ruining all of your furniture… but there was no reason to say it’s going die 😭😭
It's not that they're trying to do it for no reason whatsoever. It's because they legitimately want people to pay attention to them and the only way that they can get that attention is by "kind of" being an asshole. Especially since society tells us that when we're old, we're irrelevant as females and the only time you have any positive influence is when you're fully an adult and out of college, but still young enough to still have kids. Anything younger than that? And you're still too much of a kid to know anything. Isn't it? Crazy how everything is geared toward invalidation?
A lot of things he was brain
My parents when I was a kid: STOP SLIDING DOWN THE STAIRS, YOU WILL GET HURT! My parents with my kids: NO! NO! NO! You have to line the stairs with cardboard so you can go faster!
That is so TRUE…
& she wonders why she is never babysitting again hmmm🤔
☠️ so true in so many different ways 😂
That smile at the beginning though.
All that's missing is "I can't remember if this was supposed to be shared or not, but.."
"Mom, i forgot my toothbrush..."
Lmaoo
Gawd it me 😂
Or for my older kids: “it’s a really nice day today. You should:” (fill-in the blank) “go outside instead of stay in the house all day; have mom take you the store; have mom take you for a walk to get some ice cream” (that’s my personal favorite…thanks for planting that idea in their brains!) She thinks we do nothing all day!
YesSsSs always the wooden duck 🦆
Poor little dog😢-
This is airy! My mum is just like this!
Oh, shoot! So, apparently I may look like a boomer, even though I'm a gen Z 😂
My mum is exact opposite. She throws away everything. We have fights over this habit of hers.
Scramled eggs? A couple weeks ago? :/
Women are hilarious (cause of cringe)
"There's crumbs in there." As if they would ever throw away the bag.
Your dad and I split the other half for breakfast this morning........I'm DEAD😂😂😂😂😂😂
This is my grandma. She's 91 and trying her best, bless her
This is me.
This is soooooo spot on! Love your videos!!!❤
Thank you!!
And there's actually a lot of older people like that I've had to tell a lot of them it ain't to you only
I see this a lot in the amazon reviews. Amazon has Q&A and notifies past buyers with the questions "I don't know, I got it for my grandson, you would have to ask him"
Lol
Boomers? Lol. Nah. Gen X, 100%.
So accurate tho 😂
As a boomer this is true. Relaxing just means taking a very brief moment to survey all the work that needs to be done, prioritizing what to tackle first and then getting to it.
“Since you’re sitting there” is so accurate, like mom THAT WAS THE PLAN WAS TO SIT HERE
Getting things done is relaxing.
so accurate it makes me angry
She does have a point though - the daily stresses and roller-coasters of life can be exhausting and crazy-making; but medicalizing every difficult human experience doesn’t help matters.
I agree that 1-2 million seems low for a company, even a small one
Are you my sister
MOM ITS NOT A PHASE😂
She’s not entirely wrong.
