"Spend a short moment listening to the rain." The game was so short I played it twice in under a minute. I think it is meant to be played more slowly. Thanks for playing our game! My friend and I made it for a “worst visual novel” game jam!
I actually had a great time playing it! I LOVE that Akari is going to study "the horrific legacy of orientalism in western culture and the exotification of AAPI persons in media." She is the coolest. OP is a piece of shit for calling her a "little fucking asshole" as some point, so I let her be. Also OP really wanted to do their homework... This was weird and I did like it. Even inspired me create my own VN someday, throwing perfectionism on the way. PS: I printed your solo TTRPG "Calypso-1129" yesterday and I have been playing it since yesterday and I LOOOOVE IT to pieces. It's amazing! Finally a journaling solo RPG that lets me write with some limits without giving me too many preset barriers that don't fit my scenarios. I'll post something when I'm done playing it. So far, easily a 5 stars. (You got yourself a fan of your work haha).

Making a video game is a huge amount of work that asks for expertise in art, design, programming, testing, music and more. No matter the age of the creator of this game, that took A LOT of hard work and dedication.
@@jellythecube ... yes a lot of people work hard at their craft, that doesn't exempt this from criticism. They probably should've hired an actual artist and composer
@@jellythecubeand I disagree that they worked THAT hard at it. There are simple bugs and glitches- just in the way the sprites are displayed when moving normally left/right and jumping/next to walls. I'm sorry but this is like a good demo of a potential good game.

starry flowers is no doubt, THE worst game i've evre played, let alone visual novel. you can't do shit to effect the story so its boringly linear, the graphics/storyline are godawful diversity fetishist calarts steven universe neolib recuperation core, your immersion is fucking INTERRUPTED by filler conversations that you have to go thru in order to progress with the story (the apocethary owner encounters, the fact that at the beginning of the game you have to talk to a date and break up with her to progress, which is stupid and unnecessary), it's jsut boring. before you say "well you just hate fun/please let people enjoy things!!/you're homophobic or transphobic" (i'm transfem and bisexual by the way) OKAY I ENJOY GIVING MY OPINION AND HATING ON SHIT THAT IS, IN MY OPINION, BAAAAAAAD. you don't have to agree with me, but AT FUCKING LEAST don't come here with that white neoliberal bullshit. instead of palying this game, play post-void (a psychedelic fps which is similar to cruelty squad) and instead of listening to the soundtarck, listen to nasty crew and dizzee rascals 2001 set on pirate radio (czcams.com/video/WZy_9Dfj2Vw/video.html)

And seeing how they are getting closer to each other and thinking about each other and teasing each other (I mean mostly Periwinkle huhuhu) was just adorable! Starry Flowers is such a sweet visual novel about two witch boys falling in love! This is exactly what I wanted to play for a cozy and sweet weekend. And the dialogues are so adorable <3 I want to play everything single games that you've made now Nami *__*

The flashback in the beginning is hilarious to me. But my favorite part is 1) any interaction between Aya and Cal 2) Damon eavesdropping MC and Vexx’s conversation if you’re doing Damon’s route as Vexx’s ex (like me, because I love drama) I saw the Vexx killing Nerissa coming but my MC KILLING someone caught me off guard. I immediately forgot about the warning when I was choosing combat style, can you believe it? Anyways, now I guess we’ll go to Tilaari to save Vexx (I don’t want to... “NotHInG mATtErS AnYMOrE, wHAt Do I hAVe?” A second chance to do things right, stfu man!) and convince Nerissa’s allies to give us a shot... fUN!1!1!!1! At least we’ll have our chosen LI at our side. Talking about LIs: Aya! My baby girl! Her soft expression in the illustration had me almost crying harder than that she kissed the tip of MC’s nose. I!!! Love!!! Her!!! Hope we don’t give her another scare. Ever. That’s evil. One last thing: I’m certain we’re going to be given the option of not seeking revenge and if you don’t, in my opinion, it’s going to be such an amazing contrast to Ryona’s story (if it goes the direction I think is going) Anyways, I’m gonna stop this long ass essay here. Thank you so much for uploading, I’ll be coming back to check the dialogues with Vexx. I’ll probably end up staring at Aya for a long, long time instead but who can blame me? I hope you enjoyed the ep, I sure did!
I also loved that MC sneaked around and spied on Vexx and Nerissa haha. That was such a good way to bring us back to the story ^^ I know!! Vexx's confession wasintense, but I think it was a way to really verbalize what we already knew. Still brought us closer to him. When I had to choose combat style, I so wanted to choose close combat, but I was like if I die, I won't be able to record more and upload the rest of the story, so well..." I am still curious to see what the shooting/combat will be like! HAHAHA I laughed so much when you wrote “NotHInG mATtErS AnYMOrE, wHAt Do I hAVe?”, you're so funny! When Aya rescued me, I was so shocked by the option to kiss her or not. I was like, omg I almost died and the floor is crumbling beneath me and soon more guards are coming to chase us, let's gooooooo! But I was happy we had a chance to kiss later on in the forest, even if the romance got so suddenly interrupted!! And I agree, the option to not seek revenge is going to be more interesting, but who knows what will happen? I am sooo intrigued! And no worries, I love your long essays!
