Steller's Sea Eagle metal sculpture.
This is a stainless steel sculpture of a Steller's sea eagle which I made using offcuts of stainless sheet, tube and bar, I also incorporated many pieces of old scrap cutlery.
The sea trout has been made using segments a stainless steel office table leg.
The base is made from a selection of old cogs/gears and a Porsche 911 GT3 brake disc.
It has taken me 90 hours to create.
The soundtrack has been covered and performed by Eliott Tordo.
It is based on the original theme tune - The Riders Of Rohan, from the LOTR.
Originally created/composed and owned by Howard Shore.

If you have to ask how much something costs, you probably can't afford it. That being said, Do you sell the Phoenix? And "How much?"
This was a one off, I can't see myself ever making another one. I'd certainly consider selling this piece should someone be genuinely interested, I imagine finding a buyer willing to pay a fair price would be the hardest part. I'd value it sensibly at £2500 to £3000 and that wouldn't even cover the hundreds of labour hours , hence why I've never advertised it.
On Google maps aerial, I can see your bike in your driveway on the 3d! :D

Hi, I applied mig weld to the end of the broken bolts until I could fit a M10 nut over the weld. I then welded the nut to the welded stud, the heat releases the corrosion and you can undo it using the nut. If it wasn't rusted so badly I'd have drilled it and used an easy-out.

I did a complete restauration (full Engine as well) on my 1995 ZX7 L3 here in Brazil. It was the most satisfying thing to bring back such a LOOKER from being one foot in the grave, to now turning heads again, AND SHE TURNS HEADS, believe me. I had bad warm starting traced back to a Pulsing coil unit on the crank-end. My carbs took me forever to get them finally running right but this bike is after all a labour of love, and the whole emissions gubbins was missing at the rebuild start ( it took some research just to work out what was missing). I call her my poor mans Ferrari and she does absolutely fly, everything is manual and it's a great handling bike. Putting 210 Kph on a bike that you know every single nut and bolt, and every adjustment done on the rebuild IS A FANTASTIC and unique FEELING. I recommend it to anyone contemplating doing the same; real therapy.

Cheers mate, rs paints. Enter the model and year on their website and it'll give you a choice of colours. The rattle cans are 1k so won't be petrol proof, the 2k tinned paint is fuel proof.

No I eventually sold it on. I really enjoyed the rebuild experience along with designing different components and making parts fit neatly. Long term ownership was never the plan.

Fantastic rebuild, well done. How did you do the rear light? Did you get a new tail piece or modify the original to delete the light? Is that a mini tail and brake light just above the reg plate? It's really top quality.
Cheers, I bought a race seat unit. The led light above the number plate is brake and rear light. I actually sold the bike over a year ago.

A truly beautiful restoration! The only thing I don't like is the handlebar mirror. i would keep the original position for the mirrrors.
Cheers, Everyone to their own I guess. race/endurance bikes don't have mirrors which is the look I was chasing, unfortunately riding on UK roads require the use of a mirror to stay alive , keeps the bikes lines looking nicer than fitting the huge black stick out ears.
