What's the latest on this jag? Would love to see a video of the rebuilt engine running?
Scratches my Brit car itch for now. I made it to Van Dusen one year when I lived in Vancouver. Really enjoyed it.
Lovin' that. It's glorious and lovely.
Yes those cars are cool Peace out
Great video…your S2 resto is amazing 🤩. Thanks for sharing
Holy Moley, great show!
The MGA twin cam was in production between 1958 and 1960. It suffered with reliability problems and was replaced by the 1600.
My late brother bought a new 1967 XKE 2+2 in red for $6,500....wish that was still around....thanks for the video
This show surely would be a treat to attend! Cheers from the west Kootenays!!
Great video...Thanks
Your beautiful and original red E Type fits so well at the show. Thanks Richard
Hi there, just wanted to express my opinion on a terrific car show at Van Dusen Gardens, thanks to the organization that set up and run this great car show and to the participants with these great cars, thanks.😎
Thanks for sharing the video Richard! Its always such a great show and why we have been coming from Oregon each year for the last quarter century. Enjoyed talking with you briefly while you were looking at my XJC.
No assembly lube???
At the time I used this clear product called archoil and I didn't want to show it in the videos
Nice Video. Greetings from Berlin Zehlendorf
Did they get the nickname Breaddilivery?
Amazing video😮😮😮 Fantastic field of cars Thank you for your time and expertise😊😊😊
Thanks for the ❤️
Great video. It was nice hearing the cars at the end. Thanks
Never heard of a Gordon Keeble before but what an amazing automobile Good Golly😊😊😊
Great content. Where are all the series one E-types?
Why do you insist on parking all cars by their marque? If you want to see interesting cars , go to Morges in Switzerland, where you park where you want to. Much more interesting for the owners and the general public.
This is a well organized show, not a parking lot, that's the difference.
Love the etype you were driving
Great Show. Thank you Richard for showing us this. I'm a Jag Enthusiast too. I own a xjs pre-HE from 1977. BR Richard from Austria
What a fabulous show. There were understandably a lot of the usual suspects. Jag , Healey , MG.... I wonder how many Wolsleys, Ford (UK), Morris, Riley, Marcos, etc are out there. ? A UK show would have many Ford Capri's so thankfully (for me at least ) I didn't see one in your video...
I've never seen a late S2 UK home car with the chrome trim around the bonnet nose. Never knew Jaguar made this enhancement.
My Ascot Fawn series 2 is one of the two cars with the chrome scoop trim and leaper badges. Was told during the show that Jaguar introduced this enhancement in an attempt to sell the last series 2’s, because the Series 3 V12’s were already on the market. I like the detail. Gary’s car also has the ‘bumper’ bars. Thanks Richard for the awesome video, and belated thanks from 18 months ago for steering me into Etype ownership.
The Lotus with the ‘muffler’ going into the intake is actually an AC Air filter canister, looks very much like a muffler though.AC made air filter canisters and fuel filter housings(Etype).
Did anyone notice Richard's friend say, 'Now you are the master' while the band was playing the Imperial March from Star Wars at 35.22? Genius
LOL!~
I believe that pre-war car with the polished aluminum hood that you caught coming in at the start and then just caught again at the end as it drove out is a 30/98 Vauxhall.
Hi Richard, first thing I thought was "wow .. great to so you in an E Type roaring down the street". It felt like I was sitting next to you going to one of these Automobile events we love so much. Good the wipers were working, that is one of the most important things! Surprised we did see so many S2 and a few S3 but only your S1. Congrats to your sister and father for winning their class and for the maroon OTS you restored. Keep your FHC running 👍🏻
Thanks for featuring my MGA Special, and my Jags!
That's a great sounding E-type engine.
RMO, thanks for another fantastic video once again. The only thing you missed was highlighting that Pagoda in the "for sale" section. Beautiful job on the E restoration. Congrats. Cheers from Los Angeles!
I almost always agree with your taste but that mark x. Good god that may be the ugliest jag I've ever seen. I threw up a little when I saw it.
I think the 1956 MGA in the modified area has a GM V-6 from a Pontiac Fiero.
Good eye, yes
Wow! Didn’t know of this show. I’m in Kelowna and will definitely be there next year.
Beautiful venue, wonderful cars. A reminder of my two trips to Vancouver some years ago. Greetings from Australia, Richard, and thank you.
Amazing
Thank you.
Your enthusiasm is exuberant, thankyou for posting your great recording.
Hi Richard . Jay Leno has a Spectre . And something l only learnt recently , TR3 's had no external door handles , only TR3 A's . Great to see your "e"type on the road and so glad to see you love the Gordon Keeble ......great car ! Thanks Richard ..... l think the mk2 Sprite and mk1 Midget were launched simultaneously with the 948cc engine and drum brakes . And l had a mini pick up with a 1300 GT engine ., what a hoot ! A smooth roof van a 1960 Countryman, a traveller again 1300 power and at least 20 other mini's !!! ❤
Yes this is cool Peace out
Pair of W123s spotted in the background at 4:19. Some of the best utilitarian people movers ever made!
Thanks for sharing with us Richard. What a beautiful setting for it to take place. Cheers
Think I’ll take yours in that sea of series twos and threes
Amazing fleet of cars!
That is a hell of a show. Need to get out there one day. Only seen Landcrab in person in UK show, never in North America. Jags…well they are at every show and even in my garage… but 1100’s, 1800’s, oddball Austins… weird and wonderful. I love it.
While I enjoy your reports from afar, I miss your times working on Jags in your workshop.
Hi Richard! Jerry Cotton would be delighted with the red E-type 👍. They are super fine restored cars. Best regards from Hans and Cheers 🍻🇦🇹. You have a wonderful channel.
Your. Car Sounds nice
Oh boy did I get yelled at by a shop foreman when I went to install a set of valve covers with the gasket seal (Hylomar) on the cylinder head side. He told me to always seal only the valve cover side so that when the covers are removed, the gasket goes, and you don't have to scrape off old gasket and get debris in the cam box. That was in 1979. I have never applied sealant to the head surface since that dressing down. (Pun intended). Your Duck Egg Green formula is correct also for Silver Birch., Olive, and a host of British car colours. "Mix it till ya like it" seemed to be the rule of the day. It took ages for me to get the "correct" Olive formula for a DBS. PPG USA had some water based formula with pearl in it, which was totally wrong. Had to fly to England and get samples. see different cars, and visited their PPG library (upon appointment only), and saw the consecrated swatch with formula. Then my painter mixed it up and showed me 3 different plates. I picked the middle one right away, he turned it over, and it was exactly the consecrated formula! Funny how "Correct" and what looks good are sometimes the same, but not always. A chap I know painted his DB5 in a Mercedes silver, which looked in person what the Goldfinger car looked like on screen. In person, the original GF DB5 looks quite green, which is in the Silver Birch formula. There's a perfect example of what people expect to see vs. what is reality. Cheers, Tom
