Raven Fork Flush
zhlédnutí 1,9KPřed 6 měsíci
The Raven Fork Flush-Running all the kayakable rapids on the Raven Fork. Anaconda, Hale Mary, Big Boy, Super Colider/ Atomic Elbow Crusher and Mangler being the most intimidating and dangerous of the rapids. Here’s a short video of my entire run. One of my proudest achievements in my kayak. Unfortunately due to shifting wood I was not able to run the main Caveman drop or the entrance of Mortal ...
Toxaway Solo Lap

Solo Toxaway lap. Hiked out at frozen creek road and hitch hiked back to my car. Paddling alone is dangerous! Do not attempt.

"Wreck" Boating the Green!
zhlédnutí 13KPřed 4 lety
When two recreational kayakers abandoned their boats and hiked out above go-left I knew the boats couldn't call that beautiful gorge home and they needed to be paddled out. Eric Bartl and I stepped up to the plate and got-er- done. It wasn't pretty but that was one of the funniest green laps I've had in a long time if not ever. Don't try this. The Green River Narrows is dangerous and should onl...
Big Creek into Overflow| Portage, Seal Launch, Rappel, Repeat.
zhlédnutí 5KPřed 4 lety
This past winter Andrew Hiltbrand and I did a rarely run tributary to the Overflow called Big Creek. It was comprised of sketchy portages and marginal mini gorges dispersed throughout some scenic class 2. 7 hours on the river and completely exausted by the end.

DUAL SHREDS EPISODE 1: Green River Gamelands
zhlédnutí 2,1KPřed 5 lety
This is the introduction to a new video series i'll be doing! My goal is to ride the hardest trails and do the hardest kayaking solo self shuttle. looking forward to showing off WNC in a different way than i have in the past by combining my two strongest pursuits. Where should I go next? Wilson creek, Linville gorge, dupont, smokies? So many good options.
Horsepasture River | Top to Bottom Descent
zhlédnutí 13KPřed 5 lety
This mission has been on my radar for a long time. Mcavoy and I finally sent the top down Horse! It includes three sections of river with one big portage into a committing class 5 gorge. just the kind of thing we like to get ourselves into! Business as usual though and the scenery was unbelievable.

Man that was savage!!!!
You skipped Rainbow falls? Good move
Just stay close to the Lord because all parties come to an end
Damn that was a crazy solo run. Balls of steel
Sick run
so sick
The true GOAT
Hiked this creek top to bottom a few years ago. Cool to see someone run it
Ive done this in an innertube many many years ago. Looking back, How am I still alive?
Wild year
Looks like Bearwallow Creek
Good idea to take out at Boyden Cave. Below there is the Horseshoe Bend section, which at this water level would be virtual suicide. Sheer walls on either side make escape impossible in the event of a mishap, and the whitewater is class VI or U.
Nice one!!
Damn big dog! What a run! Glad to see you back in action Mike!
🔥
Mangler looks crazy intimidating
Glad ya didnt get hurt
Fire AF
absolute dog.

Seriously impressive.
This is nuts. I live about 15 min from looking glass falls and it’s fenced off and people don’t kayak it for a reason. when it’s flowing normally their are jagged rocks at the bottom…I’ve swam up to the bottom of the falls and felt lots of hidden rocks below too that stick up. I know you took it on flooded but still…u got extremely lucky man ain’t gonna lie. Thrill seeking is fun I get it but only takes one time to go wrong. Plus We’ve had lots of deaths in the “land of waterfalls” from daredevils thinking they are invincible specially in areas that are specifically blocked off. A lot of waterfalls we use to be able to go up to and enjoy are now fenced and blocked off because of those people. yeah, I sound like a buzz kill on your channel cuz you’re looking for glory and cheers but the locals are tired of our areas getting blocked because of adrenaline junkies. Looking glass has already had deaths so they blocked off the top of it and it says not to go up there. So please stay off the areas they have warned about and fenced off out of respect for the area and the people who enjoy it also not just yourself. And you wanna brush death do it where it’s allowed and the consequences are only on you 🙄
Free country. It’s completely legal and within my skills as a kayaker to paddle the drop.
That's a pretty tough river. Not many fols can run that I bet. A few scary moments.
BSC?
That reminds me of South Indian Creek but has more gradient. I cringed when you flipped in that shallow water...
You boys are wild. I was just in there hiking around today and had to rewatch this, Steels is incredibly steep.
Back during the drought years, that waterfall you went over was a nearly dry 30 ft. straight drop. I know, because me and a buddy did something stupid and climbed it.
Just out there today. Steepness & size of the run are no joke. Big time skills
I can do slides all day at Six Flags where therer are 18 chilli dog vendors. Gimme that ole southeastern mank any day.
pls pls pretty pls..where the fk is that?!
I miss Mike F edits
Damn that’s sketch! 😮
This is about as nuts as freefall.
Unreal! Savages!
One of the wildest paddling videos. I've watched this so many times.. so sick
This made my lunch break at work scary. pretty amazing stuff and places.
krazy
That's a serious tree fest. Here's some video of two of the last rapids at low water: czcams.com/video/nbBAb5KSgd4/video.html
Mike's at that level was absurd... holy shit!
And we hope to see you in Cali soon!
Right at the edge...thanks fir posting.
Not that I’d ever run it but what Creek is this?
Beautiful. Good lines to you.
You guys are hardcore!
One of the best in the business
Mikes is rowdy at that level. It's one of the only times I've let out a scream at the end of a drop! That last pillow is so deep/big. Thanks for putting this up! Ran it in 2004 at this level.
Holy shit the drop at the end. What falls is that?
Can't even do this anymore since Fred, way to get it in and go down in history!
What did Fred change here? Just curious.
@@justin_other_kayaker there was a giant log jam near the top of the falls. Basically just waiting for it to break & go downstream. At least that was the case. Not sure it still is.
Even ran Rooster Tail Falls. That’s some serious stuff
