You look lighter just having the paintings there, and I know this kicks off a crazy couple of weeks for you, but that’s ‘good crazy’! 😁 Sounds like here….. we are going south to Edmonton, Alberta to spend my birthday with our daughter by marriage, two totally adorbz grandbabies (our two youngest at 4 and 6), my sister, and my nephew! Our son is still deployed, but he will be home in just under a month and GOOD THING because our other son is getting married on 22 June in Victoria, British Columbia, and his brother (who is deployed) is his best man! So LOADS of craziness coming for me, but all the good kind as well! ((((Hugz))))❣️❣️🇨🇦

I hope you had a lovely Mother’s Day as well; Kathryn! I was worried that I had missed the drop of the paintings as our town lost all forms of communication with the outside world last Friday, and it started to come back late last night. So no phones (cell or landlines), no internet no ATM (we got 1!), no credit nor debit cards, no cable…… zilch! It turns out a zombie fire from last year woke up near the BC Yukon border and went through the fibre optic lines like butter. Thank goodness we ARE such a small town that the gas station and grocery store just did suspended sales for anyone who didn’t have cash. Considering it takes about $350 to fill hubby’s pickup - and it’s a very popular model here in our town - if people didn’t know practically everyone, I’m sure that credit would not have been offered just based on the person signing the receipt. LOL This is EXACTLY why I love my teeny tiny town; people here truly espouse all the best connotations of the word ‘community’. I am SUPER impressed with the range of healing modalities, Kathryn, however, I am a little worried about you. While the super-sizing of the healing modalities side of the kit will be appreciated by everyone (myself included), I just wanted to be sure you knew that while we appreciate it, it is not necessary. I understand that your decision to have the canvasses redone was not taken lightly (I cannot imagine the vast amount of sleep nor tears lost over making it) but we trust you and are here with you. I also understand that you want to thank your clients for waiting - we truly appreciate a little thank you - and I thought when you showed us the tiger’s eye heart that it was that little thank you gift. I say all of this because, like myself, I believe one of your stronger love languages is giving. Unless I am totally in left field here, I was recognizing it through the ever expanding healing modalities. I am certainly not slamming you here - please trust me - I just recognized what I would do as well. After decades of hearing that I didn’t have to do that much, I still tend to go overboard, but at least now we all know why! I also have learned to believe (or, more correctly, I am still sometimes trying to believe) that I am enough and if I am not enough for someone that it is a THEM problem not a ME problem! Ohhhhh Kathryn, I NEED that #40 Dan May card made into a diamond painting, and then I NEED to make and give one to each of my nine grandbabies. That message is of supreme importance to learn early! I have one other interpretation of that saying as well that I learned from my fave piano teacher. I studied piano for 13 years before I continued those studies at university. I was always very uncomfortable for people to come up and praise a performance, but my piano teacher taught me to authentically acknowledge your gifts (and weaknesses). She asked me the question “If I saw a present day Michelangelo, would I praise his work?” When I responded enthusiastically in the positive, she asked why he would be allowed to acceptance authentic compliment, but I shouldn’t. When she put it that way, it completely changed how I responded to people who came up with praise. The only trick is to be scrupulously honest with your gifts, i.e., I cannot draw a stick but my grasp of colour theory is strong. As long as you are acknowledging something real, you aren’t being arrogant or sanctimonious. Hugs❣️❣️❣️

Of course they are nice, Kathryn….. those are CANADIAN geese! (j/k - they are mean as heck! LOL) That is such an idyllic scene, though. Those wee little flappers are just adorable and it looks like that family is well established. You must have a nest on your property, and while they can be loud and messy, it is also a sign of luck in some aboriginal communities. Because geese mate for life, they are very choosy about where they go to nest. I learned this from my grand uncle who was First Nations (and I adored). I used to sit and listen to his stories for hours, and as I have aged, the simple wisdoms of these tales and fables has become more and more obvious. The elegance of the natural world always amazes me. 😍

Kathryn, I know you are stressed about having to delay the release of Shiloh’s beautiful paintings, but please know that I for one am putting no pressure on you, and I am betting that everyone else on the pre-purchase list feels the same way. We have ALL dealt with things out of our control and QC should always be top of mind, no matter what the job. What I am trying to say is that we understand what you did, why you did it, and we AGREE with your decision. Please be kind to yourself and know this will all work out. The delay - while financially not ideal - is not the end of the world. Give yourself a full spa day….. hot stone massage, body wrap and/or polish, facial…… the works! If you don’t come out feeling like a feather, you picked the wrong spa! LOL Hang in there , kid (I’m three years your elder, I can say that 😝); we are hanging with you❣️ Hugs❣️❣️❣️🇨🇦

First of all, your hair looks great! I like that pale caramel colour on you❣️ I am completely enamoured with Dan May’s artwork - I have been unable to get the picture of “The Guardian” owl out of my head…. I absolutely LOVE it❣️ As I have said before, is there any chance we may see his artwork in a DoC kit in the future? Please don’t feel that you are ‘alone’ in an unwanted way on your little island. Even though you don’t *really* know us, we are here for you. That also means in the middle of the night when sleep eludes you. Chances are, there are a few (?) of us that also haven’t found our switches. 🥱

I am getting excited….. what will I be like the day you ship and the the day I receive them❣️❣️❣️ I getcha about hair woes; we have neither hair stylists nor aestheticians in our town (not surprising when we don’t even have a doctor) so my hair can look pretty ‘wow’ 😮 before I get a chance to do it. Total coincident, but I just booked my hair, aesthetics, and nail appointments when I go out next month to get by pain block. Good thing I’m getting all that done….. I’m turning SIXTY near the end of May, so I’d best look good to welcome THAT decade of fun and adventure in! ROFL (wellllllll, maybe not literally rolling on the floor, but wiggling in my wheelchair comes in a close second, right?). 🤣 Enjoy a lovely spa day❣️ 👸🏼

If I had seen dusty drills tumble out of the packaging, I am pretty sure my email would have started with a question about it. 😅 Good call to save yourself a lot of questions and thank you for thinking of this! I was watching one creator kit up a project and her drills looked like Mexican jumping beans! 😁

That owl artwork by Dan May REALLY speaks to me! Is there any chance we may see that image on a DOC canvas in the future? (Please?) I would love to have him as my silent guardian to help me keep perspective. I chuckled to myself as you were talking about things said that have bothered and eaten waaaaaay more of our energy than it should have. I have one of those exact situations. My feet stopped growing when I was 13 years old, right about the time I stopped growing. My mother (who unfortunately would have benefitted from some therapy) used to tell me all the time that my feet were flippers, my nose entered the room two minutes before me, and that I was fat. Unfortunately teenage girls are not known for separating what is true and what is malicious, so I was devastated completely and always felt the ugly duckling to my sister. Listening to Mom’s description, I must have looked like Quasimodo, right? Here’s the truth: while my nose is prominent, it’s no Jimmy Durante shnoz; my feet are two different sizes…. my left is 7.5 and my right is 6.5; and lastly my weight. I was 5’0”, weighed between 100-102 lbs, with measurements of 36-24-34. It took over 25 YEARS of hubby telling me that those things were crazy until I would kind of believe it. Isn’t it amazing what a mess we can allow someone to convince us is true - even if our own eyes are telling us not to believe it! I am no longer angry with my mother who passed away a few years ago. At first, her meanness was a reaction to hurts she had never dealt with. That made her bitter, jealous, and resentful. Because she was the ‘Minister’s Wife’, she had to keep her cool with parishioners, so she let fly at home on me especially because I was Daddy’s girl. Once I was able to understand where all the nastiness came from, I was able to forgive her - even if she was so far into Alzheimer’s Disease that she didn’t even know who I was then. (And in case you are wondering, YES, so treated me soooooo much better once she was crazy as a frog’s wigmaker and didn’t know who I was!)

OMG Kathryn! I have never had a cavity, so a root canal sounds terrifying!!! 😵‍💫 I’ll be keeping you in prayers for a speedy (and painless) recovery from that procedure. Re the stress balls getting deflated in some packages, my guess is that it has a lot to do with how many times (if at all) it went up and down in airplanes and how pressurized their cargo area is. For example, if Buffalo Airways (the Ice Pilot guys) fly too high, potato chip bags will ALL pop open. lol I’m not sure if I told you that I would like to be put on the list for both paintings or not; I think I did, but med head is a real thing. 🫤 My creativity knows no bounds with my YT handle being my name, Chris Greek. 😉 Take care of you - the paintings and packages (as well as your customers) will all still be there when you feel better. As you have reminded us, healing is important. ❤

Happy belayed Easter to you, Katherine! While you were recording this, we were on a flight from a California vacation back to Canada (the next day we flew home to the Arctic as it takes two days to get anywhere outside of Edmonton, Alberta). We were blessed to be able to enjoy eight day with our youngest child, his wife, and our two youngest grandkiddos (4&6). It was an especially meaningful vacation as our son is currently deployed with the military oversees; he used his two week mid-deployment training to have this trip with us (we are so blessed!). I signed up for one of the kits (I am kicking myself that I didn’t sign up for both) and I am so extremely excited about receiving it! I have a wee confession….. I have been lurking in your channel for quite a while before I ever commented. Your holistic approach, however, is not only unique and sets you apart….. it is NEEDED! Today is a very different ballgame than when we were married (40 yrs this coming August). Back then, if you wanted to disconnect, you simply left the house. ‘Online’ shopping was dog-earing the Sears Wish Book. I am not bashing technology, rather, I am just pointing out that our time and the demands upon it are unbelievably different. By including the wellness products, I know that I would actually THINK about the question or quote. It’s not a natural behaviour for me but rather a learned one. When I almost burned out in all ways, I had to learn to slow down and let a nit of that Type A quest for perfection to fall back a little. I can’t claim to have mastered it, but I’m doing the work. That’s the biggest reason that drew me to your company. Let’s face it, there are dozens, if not hundreds, of places to purchase a diamond painting. There are fewer companies that are honest and don’t steal the work of artists, and I gravitated to those. You stood out to me. I also have a wee confession to make. I am somewhat terrified also to receive my kit (or kits if someone drops off the other list, please!). While I have been lurking and learning for several months, I have never actually diamond painted! Shiloh’s art will be my first - talk about going for a hike and ending up scaling Everest! I will email you with a pic when I am done, but I’m not sure when that will be as I have some interesting physical drawbacks. Never limitations, just drawbacks!

I am a recovering addict and diamond painting really saved my life by helping me to learn coping mechanisms and to find something else to relieve my stress! I love your kits and as soon as I am back to work, I fully intend to pick one up to review on my channel to get the word out a little more! I'll be doing Sneak Peeks for DAC pretty soon so I am hoping that will get you plenty of traffic. Now I just have to figure out where I go to order... LOL

Omg, Kathryn, i loved this video! Please make more similar related topic videos)). You know, im crazy about crystals although I'm very careful when it comes to their metaphysical or healing properties. I wouldn't want to idolize them since they are God's creations. But like many of the things that God gives us, he definitely allows us to use them as a tool: to bring joy, to implement them in technology and every day life, etc. I do believe in energy of the stones, just like everything else on this planet, they have the energy & it's pretty strong. I also believe that sooner or later science will be able to explain healing influence of the crystals (just like that Russian biologist was able to do it with cornelian). I would recommend you to use black Obsidian on the area of your body that hurts or needs healing. Although, im pretty skeptical about healing properties of the crystals, it helped me in no time. Ill upload a video soon sharing my experience but i was definitely very impressed. And i think it is a wonderful idea to add a tiger'eye crystal in your kits!
