There was a recent announcement for an official mini console for the NEC PC-8801mkIISR called the Pasocom Mini PC-8801mkIISR. It was officially announced recently in August 2024. It is going to be made by Dempa Micomsoft (the same company that made the Cyber Stick for the Sega Genesis Mini 2).

I have mine with the original cable from keyboard to computer. The monitor lights up, but that is all that happens. Can I still sell it as is?

hey, new fan here, great video! i always wonder how far you can take these. like could you use a rasberry pi in a pci slot adapter and have it function as a coprocessor and video card? i wonder about doing that on old apples too but i have never seen anyone even try. have you ever heard of this? or any other radical upgrades? thanks man, im off to watch more of your videos now!

I don’t know. I prefer the US version. I’m also trying to think of the 90s and what I would’ve liked more as a child back then. I’m thinking the boxier, more substantial aesthetic is what I would gravitate towards more.

There are things happening here that would be a pipe dream on the SNES. This shows the Genesis was more than just a typical 16 bit system and in the right hands rivaled even the PS1`/Satrn/N64 generation machines.
