Pampanga, Philippines
A 1200-square-meter lot is for sale in the province of Pampanga on the island of Luzon in the Philippines. Who will buy it? A small mission church less than two years old hopes to purchase it. This church, pastored by a graduate of Bob Jones Memorial Bible College in Manila, has a vision to make disciples and start other disciple-making churches. This is missions at its best: God using national believers to reach their own people.

    I’m thankful for this discussion because there is a growing number of women visual artists here in the US and other English speaking countries that believe in Buddhism, tarot card pulling, divination, astrology, human design, Devine feminism, reincarnation, and other unbiblical philosophies, religion, and lifestyles. They “Americanize “ or twist these eastern thoughts to suit them, even stating that listeners can use any title they choose, such as “The Universe”, or (generically) god, whatever you choose. Of course rarely if ever do they suggest the name Jesus. These ideals have accelerated since 2011. It's very disturbing. Although I only know these hundreds of women online through art classes, I am getting to know some teachers and participants personally because they run art communities that I attend. Trying to win one by one's testimony by first showing the light of Jesus has been my first step, mainly because most have had bad experiences with men in church, whether pastors or teachers or their own dad. Hence, they have rejected the message because of the messenger’s abuse. Will any of your tracts or pamphlets help me to be a better witness to these that subscribe to these unbiblical beliefs? I live close to GFA's headquarters. AND Thank you…your discussion has cleared up questions I had on Buddhism and the related religions. I think these women are seekers, looking anywhere but the Bible. 🙏

      What makes you so confident of this? Truth exists and can be known. Here are some things to consider. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father, but by me" (John 14:6). There are many paths with partial truth. Each one of these is a philosophy or religion conceived in the mind of man and therefore a mixed bag because mankind is finite, limited. We don't have to trust in the ideas of man. God has revealed Himself through His Word. His greatest revelation of Himself is when He became man. I read this Scripture this morning: "By this the love of God was manifested (revealed) in us, that God sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and send His Son to be the propitiation (that which satisfies God's justice and anger) for our sins...the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world" (1 John 4:9-10, 14).

      @@gfamissions not everything in the Bible is true. if you look even a little closely you can see it. now that doesn't mean that the verses that you just posted are untrue, but it does mean that just saying that Christianity is true because the Bible says so is at the very least extremely flawed as an argument.

      I keep seeing the chronic ignorance about "GOD'S MANIFESTATIONS" celebrated by functionaries of the BUSINESS OF THE GOSPEL with usual brainless grin and misguiding fabricated doctrines. They conveniently choose to stay ignorant of GOD'S PROGRESSIVE REVELATIONS, where BUDAH, CHRIST, MOHAMMED, ZOROASTER become "Refence" sources to VERIFY the validity of "THE FULFILLMENT OF ALL THE HOLY SCRIPTURES" that took place in 1844 -1863. Not even informing the HIS "NEW NAME" given translates to "THE GLORY OF GOD", their falsehood and compromised minds reject the notion impulsively, while the Muslims have been killing the "SINCERE TRUTH SEEKERS" that was GUIDED to their long sought JESUS'S PROMISED SECOND COMING since it'sbegginings, now the kill "BAHA'I'S" with immunity, of no concern to the hustlers of faith. They revel and make a handsome buck off of the inculcated ignorance of the gullible and appear gleeful while chronically ignorant. All perpetuating misguidance does is serve the Satan personifieds that benefit from the world of GODLESS people whose induced ignorance they exploit.

    • @gfamissions
      @gfamissions Před 8 měsíci

      There are many reasons why Buddhists will lay food and gifts on altars. For some, it is to gain good karma. For others, it is to appeal to gods and spirits and even the Buddha for some gift or blessing that they desire. Some appeal to their ancestors for blessing or to avoid troubles. There is also the practical provision of food for the monks in the temple as well through the offerings. A very important passage in Scripture for Christians about food offered to idols is 1 Cor. 8-10. You can read blog posts about this here: gfamissions.org/c0/food-offered-to-idols-part-1/.
