Honestly I thought she was a good choice to play Nadine. She shares a lot in common with the character. Vain, arrogant, vindictive, and not half as clever as she thinks she is, etc. She barely had to act to live up to the role.

@@JM-iw2if The movie is the Animatrix and to make a long story short. Humans made basic robots and in time we improved upon that and they gained a level of sentience akin to ours, but since we mass produced them we made them do everything from slave labor to sexual pleasure. The robots didn’t like this at all and some wanted independence while others just wanted to be treated human. When they had a peaceful protest, we responded by killing them on such levels that the remaining robots had to migrate to a desert for survival. We buried them, we destroyed them, hate crimes all around. They never once raised a hand to us. The remnants of the robots went to the desert I mentioned earlier and made a city, they engaged in peaceful communication and trade with humans, but as they were so intelligent they eventually outproduced us and ruined the economy of the world. Even still, never retaliating. So we decide to Nuke their only city into literal dust and ash. Oblivion. And obviously after begging for peace, sending diplomat after diplomat, we continue to kill them. They decide the time for war is now. They start to win. We start to win. They start to win again by adapting so we block out the sky using nano machines (the robots used solar energy as their power source because they believed in green energy). The robots start to lose so they adapt by using humans as an energy source. Humans lose the war, the matrix happens, and even though after all we did to them. They didn’t want us to suffer. So while using us for energy (because they couldn’t defeat the nano machines blocking the sun) they made us a sort of paradise world (the matrix.) They still, after all we did to them, loved us like a fellow human. But we never showed them love.

I rewatched all of them fairly recently, and idk if it's nostalgia but they are a lot better than I remember, whole lot of fun. I'm older and I was expecting The Architect so he didn't take me out of it and I understood everything he said. The mech defense is awesome and the final Agent Smith fight is great, especially when you take into account that Neo went in knowing he'd lose and the whole point was to trick Smith into the source. The fact that the prophecy is a lie and that there have been 5 or so other cycles was great. The only real problem was that they made CGI humans twenty years too early. But that bit in 3 where he and Smith are suspended in mid air having a fist fight was mostly practical, they were in a green rig. The freeway is *muah* chef's kiss, I'm sure out of everything you'd agree there. Neo having powers outside the matrix is strange even if he is "the one", but meh. That cave rave is gross, bunch of sweaty hobos grinding shirtless on each other, but I know it's supposed to represent humanities passion and unyielding spirit in the face of oblivion. Rewatch them all from 1 without listening to your current opinion of them, I think you may enjoy them more.
