We walked back. Best way to do it, even if it is possible to get a taxi there.
Were these tourists that did this? I have never seen tourists in Naxos in January?
we stayed in the marina for a month early Dec to early Jan, and we saw other tourists as well :-)

@@Demi4D Maybe not many tourists, but why not? We had amazing weather most of the time there. Yes we were in Apollonas, but very quiet there. We rented a car so we saw most of the island. Just check out our blog sailingfelizia.com :-)
@@sailingfelizia That's amazing. Yes, Apollonas is very quiet and has a very small population in the winter. But once summer hits hundreds arrive. I go every year as it is my grandfather's village. Were any restaurants open in Apollonas?
@@Demi4D We just drove down to the beach to have a look, didn`t look for any restaurants. We were driving along the coastline from Naxos town and around the northern part of the island.

Ios has an underlying drug problem. The Romanians want control of it and the Greeks are trying...trying to control it...the Romanians dished out bad drugs...which killed two Irish lads this year...that was their warning shot ...a warning shot that will destroy tourism to the island if ignored . Sadly ive watched the decline of IOS over the past 20 years of visiting it , sadly it will become another Ibiza style island , drunk brits,germans,americans etc everywhere with drugs available on every corner .
