I did Ostagar last night, much before I have a chance to decide how I'm treating Loghain. But these dialogues right here re-inforce my gut feeling that he's a really well written antagonist. Allistair just kind of ignored the elephant in the room here-- Cailan was trysting with Empress Celene, and with the truth of that you can see all of Loghain's fears laid bare. Cailan really was going to throw away the independence Loghain and Maric worked so hard to secure, and lead Ferelden right back into the waiting arms of Orlais. The same arms that brutalized the Ferelden people. What Loghain did was villainous, but from the perspective of "preserving Ferelden"... his choices make sense.

His self-contained lifestyle leaves those who cross paths with a great sense of helplessness. Just live in the moment like a wild animal and keep running until the end even if you know the outcome. He does not try to rebuild the world by indulging in delusions of grandeur, nor does he develop a sense of inferiority and plot revenge on the world. Bishop knows he can't expect anything from himself, others, or the world, so he doesn't ask for anything. villain often expresses regret at the end or hints at a painful past to entice our sympathy, but he had none of it. It's empty. This is how I felt about his life. So I've been thinking about it for years, thinking there could have been a better way for him to live or die. Maybe I'm not doing it for him anymore, but for myself. He stirred something deep within me, gone forever, leaving only footprints behind.

I'm seriously on my way marathon all three Dragon Age games now😂 I've been playing both of Origins and Inquisiton recently. Planning on playing DA 2 again, but sadly compare to those 2 games DA 2 is my least fav game. I have played it before, but sadly I don't really enjoyed it. So I never had the chance to finish DA 2... But now after playing both of DA Origins and Inquisition makes me curious about DA Lores. I might reconsider to play DA 2 again, I might put Sebastian and Fenris as my motivations😂
