When you find yourself at your lowest, surrounded by negativity and hardship, Resilienceism encourages you to harness that darkness as a source of unyielding determination. I'm three chapters in and even made my own allegory about Adversity

The left intentionally avoids success. It's why the Demo-rats have failed on pretty much every issue. Kamala Harris's plan to get elected is basically vote for me or you might lose civil rights, gay rights, and abortion. Aside from that she offers an even worse economy. Higher crime. A even more opened border. Higher inflation. More wars across the world. A collapsing social, religious, and moral order. A society so stupid as the right is still able to tell you what a woman is. The left knows the answer but their own teachings say it's bigoted to say the truth.

@FasterThanRaito I think you need to go watch this video again because at NO point in this video was either the left or right described as "big" or "small" governments. The only time these terms were used were to describe their intended role in people's lives.

It isn't. A better way to understand the Left vs. Right spectrum is Egalitarian vs. Hierarchy. Egalitarian (Left) systems are better at sharing wealth, opportunities, and freedom. But they are more vulnerable to external threats and worse at organizing for large projects. Hierarchical (right) systems are better at instilling a sense of purpose in a society, organizing sustained large-scale warfare, and organizing large-scale communal projects. But they almost always become exploitative and become increasingly focused on the concerns of elite to the point of hurting society in general and even the long term well being of the elites themselves as reckless elites employ short term strategies to win power struggles among themselves. What muddies the waters is Right wing groups struggle with legitimacy. They must constantly legitimize their right to rule in the face of their steady betrayals of society. They use religion, tradition, external threats, crime, etc to justify why they should be in charge. One of the tools they use is pretending they can offer freedom and fainess like the Left. It is also further confusing because several times in history Leftist groups have employed right wing rulership styles because they came to power during times of extreme instability or external threat.

We live in a Capitalist economic system with conservative and liberal social systems. There are some monarchic states, but most are republics. Although it's important to know that most conservative political movements are currently turning into Fascistic ones (e.g. American Republicans and Germany right-wing parties). With the most popular form of Fascism being Nazism.

@@InsightfulEverything It certainly would be unfair for me to expect a complete and authoritative list of every possible philosophical ideology in existence, but why not include Humanism, Rationalism, Relativism, Positivism, Determinism, Materialism, and Deontology, to name a few. Why aren't other religions (like Shintoism, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, Sikhism, etc.) included? Additionally, 'Greek Philosophy' seems like an odd grouping since Epicurus and Cynic (Cynicism) were also Greek, but are not included in this grouping even though this segment focuses a portion of its time on a few of the notable Greek individuals involved. I guess seeing only these philosophies presented might lead a person to believe there are only 18 major philosophies. Perhaps you selected these philosophies for a very specific and logical reason, but the video doesn't explain why some are included and others are not. Perhaps there can be a part 2 and part 3 and this can be renamed with part 1? Thanks!
