I visited MOSI at around 2015-2016 a couple years before it majorly downsized, and it was awesome (mind you I am a teen now so in 2016 I was in first grade and was probably about 6 or 7 years old). It was so much better than how it is now. What I can remember them having was Disasterville (teaching kids about natural distasters like tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, etc.). At the entrance to the museum they had these huge dinosaur skeletons too, and right outside they had a butterfly garden. They had the kids area (which is the entire space it was downsized to that you were in), a human body exhibit that went through the different stages of life, showed kids how to eat healthy, and talked about disease, and they also had a really cool traveling exhibit that was scraps of metal attached to cables in the form of dinosaur skeletons that you could remote control and move around. I remember hearing they originally downsized because they were planning to move the museum somewhere further downtown but it breaks my heart to see it like this (I went again a couple years later around 2018-2019 and saw it in this state and got pretty upset). I wish it was still how it was originally :(
