That campsite was infested. It was the most ticks I’ve ever seen/experienced anywhere. Fortunately, we didn’t see another tick the entire trip once we left that spot .

Hey Ihor. We did about 5 miles. It’s truly a backyard float for us, but it was a novelty to have enough water for it this late in the season. To get back we leave one vehicle at the end.

When they rattle it means they want to be pet.
Definitely a good warning system. We were further back than it looked in the video, but my friend had walked right by it before initially hearing the rattle.
@@dnbphotoI am up in British Columbia we have them up here also , They do t want to bother anyone , when walking on a path we saw one on the side , it had no interest in us just crawled around on the edge of the path
@@squamishfishthat has generally been my experience with rattlesnakes. They absolutely want to avoid you, but at the same time, getting bit in a remote place would not be fun.

CSX TrainLover Thanks for the compliment. With regard to the sound quality, the video was filmed using a GoPro camera in a hard case. These small cameras have tremendous capabilities, but are not known for high quality audio capture, especially when they are enclosed in a protective case.

I'm not 100% positive, but this looks more like the carcass of a Salmon Shark (Lamna ditropis). They have been known to wash up along the California coast.
