    Nice talk. I also believe that machines should do as we tell them and those who have told them be accountable. Also that it is dangerous to venture into ethics. Some, with impudent presumption, have taken it upon themselves to change the meaning of words, in particular 'racism', so how can one argue ? It would be like arguing with the Queen in Alice in Wonderland.

    Curious: If a screen reader is "worse" at reading a site than other crawlers (e.g. like Google's) why would A.I. companies use screen reader-like crawlers to get content to train on? That makes very little sense if it cannot read as much?

    • @cspenn
      @cspenn Před 16 dny

      What Googlebot renders is very similar to what a screen reader renders; when you read through Google's documentation for crawl/index/rank, it shows how Googlebot essentially tries to normalize a site's HTML because all sites are wildly messy. Common Crawl does the same, if you dig around in the WARC files, you can see how they try to interpret the site's code. They do in many cases attempt to load the simplified version of a site, and ideally that's also the version for screen readers.

    Interesting to be sure. But I am confused how to use these steps at scale? In your example you had a big back catalogue already of stuff to feed the A.I. as sources of inspiration. A lot of communication and marketing professionals will probably (likely) not have that. 😊😊

      I would challenge that assertion - marcomm professionals SHOULD have this data, especially for your own digital properties and those of key competitors, as well as industry knowledge sources. There's SO much data available today that requires basically copy-pasting. Did you have a specific example of why a marcomm professional might not have some data available?

    Yes, let’s discuss it, but we might not forget that higher education also equips one with valuable skills, like be able to search, extract the core information, apply it to the real problem, access if that solves the problem, develops your analytical skills and gives you a basis from where you can move forward. I guess, the price of college education in US affects whether someone’s willing to pay for it. Here in Europe we still have a chance to get a higher education for relatively low price

  • @JesperAndersen

    Very interesting, Chris, thank you. A bit technical - for instance you talk about 'bins' at some point. I was able to more or less guess what you were talking about, but I wasn't 100% sure. The case need I have regarding synthetic data is a little different than the scenarios you outline here. I don't need to build or train a model, but I do trainings for people in the PR industry and would like to be able to teach them how to use A.I. to do Advanced Data Analysis of e.g. a spreadsheet with data from their own media monitoring. Unfortunately, media monitoring data is copyrighted and not easily available for teaching or (people) training purposes. So, my dream is that I would be able to somehow generate a synthetic data set examplifying e.g. 2000 mentions in the media - with media type, date of publication, tonality, topic etc. - and then use that synthetic data set as 'training wheels' for my workshop participants to practice their own analytics skills on. 😉😉 Does that make sense?

    This is an important problem and I am so surprised that none of our systems have figured this out - how do we quickly zee how our content is associated/interlinked, where we have strengthen and weaknesses. why is SEO past or semrush not allowing us to get a dashboard of this?

    • @mikeselldigitalconsulting3847
      @mikeselldigitalconsulting3847 Před měsícem

      Now, I listened to the entire webinar- this is really just a start. No one should work this hard to analyze their audit their content. A smart system should allow for this tp happen naturally without having to write Python code or any code. Systems like WordPress, GA4, or GSC (or even semrush if you want to pay for this) should intuitively and naturally help you at a glance audit your content. Foe example, what should really do with content that has been generated since 2002, what are pieces that are good candidates for pruning, what candidates are good candidates for combining with other content pieces, and what content should just pain be retired based on its focus and longevity effect. This whole process requires no brain power, just the ability to sense and organize content. The ways that exist, including yours, are too primitive and labor-intensive. And, the system that exist to help with this, like Semrush, are company self-serving as opposed to clients serving. There is very little true intelligence in marketing tgat is not serving the marketing product (like google ads) or the marketing service providers (like you guys or Neil Patel). I am sorry. we pay for all these products and "thought leaders" and yet all that they benefit is themselves.

At the same time AI is rising we are going to have millions of individual professionals having access to AI’s, not just companies. I get the idea of asking the LLM to draw on best practices picked up through its training data and shifting this into what you describe as the short-term memory. It makes sense. I still cannot get my head around this idea of 'role' from the RACE model you mention though. Why does telling a LLM it's an expert virologist in any way change the substance of what it can produce? The model might explain something in more technical language - in other words, create a pastiche of the kind of response an expert virologist might give - but it doesn't suddenly have access to any new training data. Its ability or inability to create a credible commentary on virology remains stubbornly unaffected by my flattery, doesn't it?
