This video is good for what not to do with your Bilt account. A couple of simple changes could have fixed the issue.

I think you guys have deeper issues; not the Bilt card. work on your relationship and trust issues. the minute you start having split bank accounts and separating things in a "relationship" it's a recipe for disaster

One rent payment per card. U r an authorized user on same account. No fishy policy; jus open ur own card, then do ur portion of charge. Don't miss out on reward opportunities jus because u didn't work within Bilt system.

8:36 what if each got your own card? Like you get one with your credit under your name and he gets one under him (well he has it already) and you use it that way?

If you both paid a slightly different amount, would that remove the flagging? Using both to get both to a higher status is a good route. Perhaps alternate months to pay the rent

Its was 100% your fault, I mean you can easily see where you went wrong! You really thinks Built was going to give you both 1X by spliting the same rent! and process it as 2 different payment?

Thanks for the video! I have a silly little question.... If my employer matches 50% up to 4% of my pay, is there a reason to contribute beyond 4%, or is that just the same as a any other investment accont? As it stands, if I contribute beyond 4% of my income, I'd probably have to trade off with other investments, like my Roth Conversion IRA, so I don't wish to over-commit and miss some fundamental understranding step!

I love it when people don't read the rules and then complain about it like it's not there fault. Just paid rent and it clearly shows a pending transaction immediately. It's not there responsibility to help you split your rent payment! Heres an idea. Your husband pays the full rent then you pay him half. Problem solved. My partner and I use the card. It does state that one payment a month is allowed. It’s worked perfectly for us. Just Zelle the funds to the person or one person pays for that month and the following pays the next month. It isn’t complicated at all.

The biggest issue is that any payments over and above the interest saving balance (your statement balance plus the chase plan payment and fee for that month) will immediately go to paying off the my chase plan early. That’s fine if you weren’t already carrying a balance. If you were, however, you cannot direct payments to that balance, only paying off your My chase plan portion of your current balance. So, that existing interest-accruing balance continues to accrue expensive interest unless you pay off the whole my chase plan. This is pretty predatory, since one would assume that the fixed “plan” was set regardless of other things you were doing. I really think this should be reported to the CFPB and these plans revised to give you options of what part of your balance to pay down.

It's a good card. I wouldn't at all describe them as sketchy, but I admit their transparency could use some work 😅 Your expectations for this card were wrong, and that fact is actually upfront.

Everyone situation is unique to a certain extent. For me, the card works great.

My BILT statement falls on the 11th. Of course rent is due by the 1st. I pay by BILT check. I request a check on the 15th. It arrives within 7 days. So my landlords have to check in their hands one week before rent is due. And by the time I pay BILT, the charge never even hits my statement. I like BILT's innovation. But I don't like how they always round the points DOWN 👎🏽 on purchases. Even if it"s 9.95, the round DOWN to 9.0. Not cool. WHO IN THE WORLD DOES THAT? Track it yourself for 1 month. So it's not really 3X dining It's more like 2 4X to 2.5X. I stopped using it for now.

Right I figured out what the problem was going to be. You can only make payment on one rental property each month. I'm guessing you got flagged because they thought you were trying to pay on two properties. Okay now I'll watch the rest of the video 😂😂

Easy fix is to combine your two half payment into one regular payment, and then split among yourself. Instead of asking Bilt to be flexible, it is easy to be flexible yourselves.

I don’t use it to pay rent I use it like a normal credit card I pay my rent like I normally do so I’m good on my rent every month on time like everytime plus I have other credit cards I got the bilt card to add to my card set up just to have it on my history profile 💳💳💳💳🦺👍😎

The app isn't perfect but All transactions show on Wells Fargo. That said I haven't ever noticed any lag beyond ten mins for a transaction to show on the app.

One built a company that on the long run delivers reliable quality products. It literally said one address per household for rent payment in the fine print. I read all of that before receiving my card
