I work at Nando’s. We also add Parsley to the rice which gives it that slightly bitter flavor, red bell pepper too! I will definitely try this recipe since our rice gravy is already pre made for us and this seems a lot tastier. Also we bake our rice.

Followed this recipe but added a few other ingredients. I think Nando’s rice has Cumin so I added 1 tsp of Cumin powder and also 1 cube of chicken stock. Tasted exactly the same!

Hi what type or brand of curry powder we talking about here? I'm Bangladeshi and my curry powder is hot and dark red orangey in colour. The milder version we call it madras powder. Is this one English tesco curry powder? Or Chinese curry powder? Any response would be great.

Looks delicious. I’m confused about the onion. I eat at Nando’s about 3 times a week on my lunch break and I always order the rice. However, I’ve never seen onions in the rice. I wonder if they use onion powder instead!

What type of rice is that?

This was so good and tasted just like nandos rice. I found the official recipe online too and found it interesting that you tweaked things so I also did a little tweak. I finely chopped the chilli in rather than having the whole things in and also rather than adding the spices to the water, I mixed them all up together and then added it to the onion peppers to toast it up a bit before adding soaked rice. Only wished I used a little less water, maybe because I soaked the rice.

And also can I use like ginger paste? Bc I usually blend the ginger and garlic paste for my cooking in curries you need paste

U rely should of mixed the liquid and bananas 🍌 together then mix in the flour it would make it much easier and not over mixed

they dont use tomato on their rice thats not their recipe lol taste nothing like it
