Question: If they are in the same VLAN why do you need to trunk the port? I thought trunk ports were only used when you need to pass packets tagged for other VLANs

I know this is a late comment but Is it possible to assign port numbers in your exisiting firewall mangle rule? I tried to put the destination port in prerouting including my source network address but everytime I try to speedtest my connection. It didn't follow the bandwidth I set in my queue tree rule. I hope you can give an example on how to add port numbers. My goal is to prioritize some applications with specific port numbers using Queue Tree. I saw your other videos that tackles "Prioritization" but on those videos it only shows the Simple Queue QOS. I hope you can teach us about Queue tree more.

Great series and tool! I do not exactly know how to ask this. But is there a way to use the sas radius on wifi without hotspot. So that if you connect to wifi on the phone it asks for username and password. I think it is called dot1x or enterprise radius. That would be a better option as the hotspot is getting increasingly problematic with phones when using usernames and passwords as redirects often do not work due to the strict transport security protocols (HSTS) now used for phones on sites like google. In this tutorial for example I had a problem with my phone not wanting to open the hotspot.local.

From your experience, Mr. Maher, do you think that creating a DST NAT rule in MikroTik is considered to be a security vulnerability in the router?

Mr. Maher I just want to know the following: If you have two public IP from your provider how can you make a rule in mikrotik to get use of this two IP..? I mean now i am using one of them but i don't know what i have to create in firewall to get the other. My mikrotik connected via eth1 to huawei router, and the eth1 have the first public ip. Hope to discuss this issue onetime.
