Echo eForce 2600 high torque upgrade

Echo e-force 2600 is a good trimmer, but once you add the high torque gearbox, it becomes a great trimmer very close to the performance of the Echo 2620

It's not removing the root. What good is that?
From my experience, you're never going to get the roots even when you pull it by hand. So this alleviates a lot of the stress associated with hand weed pulling
love the demo. thank you!
Thank you, I appreciate it
Now come do mine.
I love Fiskars! I would buy one if I ever see it
Muy mal!! Si. No. lo van aser bien mejor no agan nada
I found one in my shed from the last tenant. I need it to aerate my clay garden now i have found out more uses. great for women too
Thanks for the comment. I got this at a yard sale and it does an amazing job. I also have the garden weasel and in prepared areas It also does a great job.
Wow looks tedious
This is part of my 5-hour side of the house experience
Я подумала, что простой бензокосилкой, если ее на ребро поставить с диском - такое можно провернуть???
I am in Central Texas. That tool would last 3 pulls and break. With my crab grass, it would only chop some of the surface weed off and leave 6 inches of root system behind. And that goes for every weed actually. Probably would work if I had a good quality top soil in a flower bed all nice and moist and fluffy.
Kook
No, he’s saving the tree from being weak.
Cutzou
Why
This ivy is not helping the tree.
Because it weakens the tree.
How often should you till?
I till twice a season once in March, I till in composted leaves and then I till it again in May for planting. I typically plant tomatoes once the tomatoes have all been harvested. The growing season is basically over. In the fall I fill the garden with ground up leaves from my leaf cleanups .
I have one and love it
Bro where the hell is the air filter and muffler cover?!
This is a first generation Exmark Vantage It did not come where the remote air cleaner and the muffler guard is on there. This machine's totally stock
When i do the edging around trees and flowerbeds, i just use a shovel and rake.
That's a great way to do it but this tool is meant for production getting stuff done quickly.
What size of engine is that?
This is my old time master. I don't recall what size engine it is, but it's definitely smaller than the new 223cc one
I’m also wondering does the DPAS2600 come with the high torque trimmer attachment already? I’ve noticed the one that comes with that one has a grease cap at the head while the trimmer attachment that comes with the DPAS2100 doesn’t have it at all. So are there three different trimmer attachments?
The one that comes with the 2100 has the same gear ratio is the one on the 2600. The 2100 gearbox is a cost cutting measure by Echo and is a throwaway gearbox once it wears out. All the non-commercial Echo trimmers have the non-greasable gearbox. My 2100 gear box is actually pretty crunchy sounding now. The Hi torque gearbox is noticeably larger than the standard one. They have three attachments, the standard trimmer, the high torque and a curved shaft attachment. They don't sell the 2100 pas attachment.
@@sololawnprofessional appreciate the info! I have an extra blade edger attachment laying around I may do that swap on my one that I keep connected to the gas powered power head. I’ll have to see the size difference I’ve never noticed before.
so no azzhole 50 year old male to come out and complain about the noise and how he has to work graveyard shift in a few hours
What's the deal
Why do I see ppl walking backwards with the edger?
This is how you're supposed to operate the bed redefiner you walk backwards, if you're using a stick edger re-edging a sidewalk that you've already edged the week before you can walk forward, but if it's real bad and it hasn't been done in a while, you really should walk backwards. It really does a better job.
@@sololawnprofessional thanks for the details
I need that tool
💪🏽
Thank you, I appreciate it
That circle sux🫢
Wow that’s a pretty significant upgrade.! I like this idea, I think I’m going to make one of my old trimmer attachments laying around into a high torque. I carry both the 2600 and a gas powered PAS230 power head on the truck it would be good to carry them both.
Fascinating. I never knew there were multiple trimmer attachments (other than some having the threaded cap for greasing and others not having it) but as for a difference in gear torque…good to know. Is it any edger attachment that has the high torque or just the bed definer one? I have a couple of trimmer / edger attachments I don’t routinely use, might try this is the power difference that much better?
czcams.com/video/AiZ_xiufqO8/video.html This video is all about the high torque gearbox using it on the 2600 and the 2100. It's definitely an improvement especially for the 2100 gives a better knockdown power. I would definitely convert your stick edger just to try it out before you buy it, to see if it's right for you. It's actually something I can't live without after using it. I feel like it gives better battery life slightly. It definitely has more knockdown power and it cuts cleaner in my opinion. I'm just using the stock curved shaft stick edger. The bed redefiner uses a straight shaft gearbox that you cannot convert into a string trimmer.
@@sololawnprofessional awesome! Now do ya normally run the 2600 on setting 3 ? For my jobs I very seldom take it off setting 1 tbh. Would setting 1 w the high torque head do anything or would it not spin as fast?
@@BigRedServicesLLC I run setting 3 and most of the time it's half to 3/4 throttle. But I would definitely give the conversion a try first. Since we're probably dealing with different grass types, it may not make as big a difference to me as you.
First. And thanks might switch mines
This is just a quick conversion just to try out the high torque gearbox You're 2620 and your shindaiwa t Model Will still be better no matter what.

I need to invest in one of these, I have the Stihl one but I’m getting away from Stihl except for their backpack blowers.
I'm not running the bed redefiner blade. It doesn't work that well with the 2600, it cuts the motor out too much. There are alternatives out there. I'm going to put a video together about it a little bit later.
@@sololawnprofessional ah cool
@BigRedServicesLLC I don't have any rapid chargers for my e-force batteries. How long does it take to charge the 2.5 and 5 battery with the rapid charger
@@sololawnprofessionalI have not tested the 2.5 ah, but I have tested the 5.0 in the dual port rapid charger that comes with the backpack blower. It charged 2 of them dead-full in 1 hour. I personally do not like using the rapid charger I’ve always heard it’s better to slow charge lithium ion batteries; I have enough of them that I’ve never ran out for a full days work.
Thank you for letting me know. I was thinking about buying a 8.0 battery and it was looking like it's going to take over 3 hours of charge it with the standard charger
How much does a single battery last on full power?
In this situation 15 minutes with the 2.5 battery, about 30 minutes with the 5. This is going to be the standard run time for every brand of battery powered trimmer out there. They are some trimmers out there, that have longer run times but they also have huge batteries and weigh a lot more. So with all these battery products it comes down to, how much you want the equipment to weigh versus the runtime. I want the trimmer to be as light as possible so I have the small battery that will last handful of Lawns
We have Carbide Tipped Brush Cutter Blades that may fit your equipment. We're happy to offer you the product completely free of charge in exchange for a video review. Let me know if you are interested.

I'm loving this video And Where Can I Buy This From?
@@anthonyscott5990 edgit.com/products/edgit-pro This is from the manufacturer's website. They have the best price.
I'm thinking I should maybe make some kind of channel for the false wall to slide into so it stays moving at a 90% angle instead of possibly turning while it's moving.
Everything you see here is just so I can take it apart real quick and put my mower back on the trailer. The only problem with running through a track that I can foresee is debris getting hung up like mulch that kind of stuff and binding up the situation. I have some new videos where I'm using it with the walls bolted on for doing leaves and that kind of stuff and it works perfectly fine
I here that echo 2600 I love them don’t ever pick up a gas one anymore
I use my 2600 full-time but I can safely say the 2620 is better but I rarely use it
@@sololawnprofessional yes they say it’s equivalent power I don’t agree
I need that tool
Hfn ooz e aí ❤o co.obf oxny organize p ❤😅
Don't know if I would use that tool in a rocky garden bed as it probably will dull the blade very quickly.
It will be way quicker than getting down on your hands and knees and pulling them out. Also you can always resharpen it.
And when you use a trimmer the circle gonna get wider and wider.
Love it. My fav hedge trimmer !
This is the articulating hedge trimmer. I always thought these were just way too heavy to use I was right. They are too heavy to use but they're extremely versatile
@@sololawnprofessional ah yes. I have one of those as well, but it’s too long for the pole it’s connected to. I feel like if it were on a shorter length pole it would work a lot better.
Hula-Ho
walk is already edged😅
This is weekly maintenance. I edged it at the starting season
Где купить такой триммер
Nothing like weakening the root system of the tree. Anyone can be a landscalper. We need people who care about the health of a tree.
I get this comment a lot. I'm not cutting the roots. It's already been edged. I'm just maintaining it. The round disc is not doing anything. It's a guide for the string trimmer. It just looks like a saw blade but it's not.
That’s a dope upgrade. Haven’t use my battery trimmer in 2 weeks. Scared my last battery might go out
You're 2620 and that shindaiwa t model you have is still going to be more powerful, but this definitely closes the gap. I would hope Echo would warrantee the batteries at least prorate them
Somebody had a few beers before making that tree ring
💚👍👍👍
Thank you Sandy, I appreciate it
You sir, are nottttt professional
Перфекцонисты покинули чат
How mad is this guy gonna be when he finds out Jose can do all that with a string trimmer in less than half the time
Thanks for your comment but this is spring maintenance and before you can use a string trimmer to maintain it for the rest of the season you have to use a bed edger to create the edge
Bro is playing chicken with death
Thanks for a concern but I had sprayed this hornet's nest the day before and there's nothing to worry about
Wow awesome thanks ❤❤❤❤❤
