Building an Electric Guitar From REAL AXES!
I built a real working electric guitar from axes! Presenting The AXE AXE Guitar! Guitars are frequently called Axes, so I thought that it should be an actual axe as well.
Two old Kelly axes were joined together to make a custom double bit axe. Double bit axes are very hard to find over here in Australia. The handle and neck was made from a single piece of solid Spotted Gum hardwood. With Huon Pine accents and wedge. Two humbucker pickups, 3 way pickup selector switch and a single volume & tone knob.
Just to note, I am no awesome guitar player, maybe one day I can play better! Still looking for someone to shred it up on the Axe Axe Guitar!
Enjoy the build! Please like & subscribe!

Building a Mobile Anvil Stand - Blacksmithing
zhlédnutí 165KPřed 3 lety
My old anvil stand was a tree log which wasn't high enough and caused back issues due to the bending over to use it. I've made a new anvil stand which is higher and more functional and most importantly, mobile. Having a small workshop, this is important so I can keep juggling tools and equipment around in their location. The anvil stand is made from Spotted Gum hardwood timber which I had at ho...
Seized 1960s Chainsaw Restoration
zhlédnutí 11MPřed 6 lety
I picked this chainsaw up locally and found it to be in terrible condition. It is a 1960's Canadien 270 chainsaw, 95cc. I took it on as a challenge project. Honestly, when I got it, it was a piece of junk. It was totally seized, parts missing and in very poor condition due to being left out in the weather and elements. Tough to find parts as pretty much nothing is made anymore. I hope you enjoy...
Bottle Jack Hack - Axe Wedge Press
zhlédnutí 8MPřed 6 lety
A common problem when hanging an axe head on a handle is to hit the wedge too hard with a hammer and causing it to split. I know I've done it enough to be frustrated! I had this old bottle jack lying around and thought surely I'd be able to re-use it into some sort of manual hydraulic press. Here's the results. Made from scrap I had lying around. Mark I - works very well and already have some i...
Bowie Knife Restoration
zhlédnutí 8MPřed 6 lety
This "Original Bowie Knife" was my father's. It's been on the to do list for a long time. My father passed many years ago when I was a teenager and I have very little of his, so it's all the more special. This knife was lost for a long time and unfortunately lost its sheath along the way. I'm pretty sure this knife is from the 60's or 70's. Made in Japan. It's not the fanciest knife nor the bes...
Making Kitchen Dry Goods Shelves - Woodworking
zhlédnutí 457KPřed 6 lety
Recently my wife showed me a photo of a shoe rack with plumbing pipe work supports. She said "I'll take something like this for my dry cooking ingredients please". The rest is history! The timber is from cover strips that are used to cover cable drums during shipping. This timber is considered garbage and thrown away as quickly as it is removed from the drum. The pipe fittings are standard 3/4"...
1920's Brass Spray Pump Restoration
zhlédnutí 567KPřed 6 lety
I wish I was born in the time when tools were well made, from good quality materials. I saw this spray pump & although being a simple tool, I could see the beauty lying beneath the tarnished brass. In today's throw away society, to manufacturer something like this spray pump would be prohibitive and pointless. This pump is manufactured by the Deming Company in Salem Ohio. It is their "Perfect S...
Broken Vise Restoration
zhlédnutí 5MPřed 6 lety
I found this old vise pretty cheap and thought it would make an excellent restoration project as it swivels in two directions and is very heavy. Little did I know that it had a complete break in the main shaft with the front jaw snapped off! All is not lost though - I was still keen to try to give this old tool a new lease of life. Disclaimer: I am no welder and I don’t profess to be. From my r...
Building a 2x72" Belt Grinder
zhlédnutí 771KPřed 6 lety
It is time to upgrade my 2x72" belt grinder. I built my original belt grinder 2 years ago and never really finished it off properly and it's bugged me ever since. Didn't paint it, didn't take adequate protection of the VFD. The original motor was a second hand cheapy (1HP) which was also under powered and bogged down fairly easily. I had a spare VFD ready to go so I bought a new 3HP motor to ma...
1950's 6" Hand Grinder - Tool Restoration
zhlédnutí 1,5MPřed 6 lety
I picked up this grinder locally and it just screamed old school danger to me! Just had to have it and give it a restore back to working order. From my research it appears to be a 1952 model 401G Hicycle grinder from Consolidated Pneumatics Tool Company. It's certainly a power tool that you just wouldn't see being made today and carries a decent amount of caution needed when using it. I hope yo...
Building a Blacksmithing Gas Bottle Propane Forge & Burners
zhlédnutí 4,5MPřed 6 lety
It was time to upgrade to a gas forge to give some more heat control & efficiency vs my old charcoal 44 gallon forge. I bought a brand new 9kg gas bottle to use for the project. The burners I fabricated based on a design by John Carman. Safety Notes: - IF you use an old gas bottle, take extended precautions to make sure it's empty before cutting into it with an angle grinder. Better yet, buy a ...
Making a Wood & Leather Branding Iron
zhlédnutí 1,3MPřed 6 lety
How cool is it to be able to put your own maker's mark on something you make?! I wanted to do that so went about creating a personalised DIY branding iron that I can use on wood or leather. I started with a round block of brass, printed my maker's mark out to that size and carved to suit! Follow along and enjoy. Please like & subscribe!
Keesteel Broad Axe Restoration, Hafting & Sheath
zhlédnutí 156KPřed 6 lety
Restoration of an old Australian Keesteel broad axe. This broad axe is cleaned up and then hafted (or hung) using a traditional method. The handle is trimmed along the bottom of the eye and then shaped to fit. A wedge is cut and also shaped to fit and then hammered in. This method facilitates removal of the handle so it can be hafted either right or left handed (the video shows a right handed h...
Stanley "Brothers In Arms" Hand Plane Restoration

Join the ride as I carry out my first hand plane restorations. I picked up these two Stanley Planes, a no 4 & no 5 1/2, reasonably cheaply. They will become users and I especially needed/wanted a number 5 1/2. They were both severely corroded and took some cleaning up to get them to a working condition. Enjoy! Please like and subscribe! Laminated Pine Workbench From 2x4's - Woodworking

I needed a new workbench. Watch as I make an affordable, simple, heavy laminated workbench out of construction pine 2x4's. All construction was from pine 2x4's except the pine dowels. This is a good project for anyone wanting to build a sturdy workbench without breaking the bank. Hi Will! Nice video! I have a question, d you know what steel the sole is Made of?
Salut c’est possible de le couler entièrement en ciment fondue au lieu du réfractaire et de la couverture?
Great job Mr Will Mathews congratulations. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
So both thins and the mobile stand vid were published after the last community post. Is he done for good?
the stupide meurder guitar for the furtur criminels
Sounds a little sharp 🤣👍🆒🎸
How did you make that router box the proper length from table top to get that result?
How would I do a table top with 2x8x12 boards?
How long is that?
Legal.alemao.joaoalves.brasil.😂❤❤❤
Can’t recommend using pine. Edge grain pine is too inconsistent across the grain pattern in hardness. I can guarantee that after hand sanding the surface it was not flat across the top. If you are going to the trouble of making a solid board work bench use a hardwood like maple.
It's nice seeing a guy make a guitar without 100 million dollars worth of tools specially made for guitar making.
Welding is not your day job is it?
This is a great video on how to build an anvil stand assuming one already has an anvil stand.
All that yellow, is it a Pioneer? Sometimes automatic transmission fluid will get a piston unstuck but that one is extreme.
okay marceline
Fucking sick.
„Son, where the heck is my axe?“
46:24 Great job. Bonnie is in tune and ready for his solo. let's close him up. simply replace both eyes in the order that you removed them, and close up the face plate. and we'll call it a day
You mean I can do battle of the bands....LITERALLY?!😢 imma grab me viking helmet!🥸
Love these old chainsaw restoration videos bringing some of the best back. Thank you for the post really interesting and informative
A little disappointed that the strap isn't black and red plaid, but otherwise really awesome!
لي الشرف ان ارى مثل هذا العمل الجاد والرائع والممتاز شكرا وموفق
When the Barbarian decides to multiclass and become a bard (A Bard-barian, if you will):
Great Video!! That sheath is amazing!! I also have a knife I would like to work on. It has a stacked leather handle that is really dark. I'd like to sand it down and seal it with something but I don't know what to apply to protect the leather. Did you just use beeswax on this? I'd like a hardened shine on the handle and was curious what you would recomend. Thanks!
You can move magnets near the pickups or tap them with something made of metal to see if they work as intended
if only Axl Rose was the guitarist
truss rod ???
This would make a great gift for a fireman or firehouse
Not to be a miser but shouldn't the strap go across the back?
Well that bottle Jack won’t ever be used for the many things that it’s meant for. At least you won’t have to worry about someone borrowing it. 👍
Show mesmo 😊
Marceline from Adventure Time would be proud
spending all that time and effort on a pine work bench, that will be dinged/dented/scarred the first time you set a tool on it. and drilling the top solid to the base... not allowing for wood movement. eh. it was a pretty video. not great from a wood working perspective
Didn't a vampire have this
Will you are an absolute genius. Great video and workmanship. Keep up the good work.
Looks awesome🔥is there no truss rod
Nonesense😂😂😂😂😂
Why? :D
Awesome guitar 👌👍
У нього золоті руки
I'm trying to learn off your video. Cause I got a 1958 zip homelight. Turn on learn how to uh. Just justir Spring and trust full back up again. It's not gonna try your idea. See if it works on the old 58 zip. I'm pretty sure all of the mid-sixties in out early. You know, chainsaws from the early mid. 50s, they still had that problem. That's what I'm facing right now, man. I haven't seen problem as you are.
Id pay top money for this
это хорошо но возникает вопрос - а не...на?
👍👌
