look, every single cow we have ever had and used for roping, has never broken a neck or snapped a spine or anything like that from us. there are some sports such as steer tripping/busting i COMPLETELY disagree with and i stand against. yes, there are accidents sometimes just like in any sport non rodeo related. im not sayin it never happens im saying it's not supposed to and is rare for it to happen. cows are built different than people. it would kill a person, but its nothing to them. trust me.
Okay, so, im here to tell you that you really dont understand how this works, and you're just following the "shut down rodeo cause it's evil" bandwagon. I own 9 roping cows and 3 calves. we do roping every wed. and fri. night at our ranch. there is nothing wrong with our cows, we use them every week for about maybe 8-9 runs each cow. the calves are fine and will grow with no problems. my point is, nothing happens to these cows during team roping or calf roping. They are all healthy.
