Using my newly acquired Squier for this b side track. I have installed some noiseless pick ups which sound quite hot for their price and have raised pole pieces. This song was wrote by Paul Rutledge aka Rut on guitar and sang by John Mc Cleod on drums.

My second bass cover of the b-sides. This recording has a bit of Rat distortion on it as well as the Ampeg scr overdrive. I recommend wearing ear phones to hear the bass frequencies.

Never easy getting the first note I can speak from experience 😂 you nailed the rest of it. I saw From The Jam a few months back and Foxton is still a beast on the bass. The Skids were bloody brilliant too didn't realise they had some good stuff being 46 I was only very young during both of the bands heydays, I've loved The Jam since I was little though.

Thanks Dan! The b sides are a punk rock group that are unsigned from Northern Ireland. Their guitarist- Paul Rutledge is the main songwriter/composer. Paul asked if I’d be interested in playing bass for them at a Jam tribute gig in Belfast and I said yes. The songs are a different original style from what I’m used to but are good fun to play and it’s great to practice with fellow musicians again. Thanks for your kind comment mate.

Ha ha Thomas! I think that’s the first I’ve ever bothered with a description. I can’t take credit for the bass line as the original bassist already recorded this in a studio but I added some slides that weren’t in the original to vamp it up a bit. Thanks Dan it’s the scrambler activated on my Ampeg Scr di pre amp pedal I’ve dialled a lot of overdrive effect. I’ve never been a big overdrive bass fan but it sure is fun.
