Im a drummer or many years and a HUGE fan of music since times beginning. I came here wanting to find out the appeal of attending a Taylor swift concert. Her revords are very well engineered and here so gs aound big and catchy on decent head phones. But whats the live experience that has millions of fans flocking to her have? After watching this I can unfortunately exclaim: pretty damn little. This performance for example is over choreographed with band arrangements that have the session musicians stop and stsrt like robots snsa the arrangement bchoices are rather annoying to boot. For example, taylor plays her guitar nicely snd reaunchily snd sings hdr song with passion and conviction. But then there are these sprinckles of sharp and abrupt time stops that only show off how tight the band is but hurts the song and its message consequently. Tje music director went wild on this and taylor would have intervened is she wasnt into a tour filled with scripted sequences and choreographed moments. Her studio work is great. Live she is a puppet and shows no musical agility for improvisation. The fans want the record. Music fans want the performance. This performance is too colour by numbers for me to feel the art in the artist. Studio work yes. Live atuff, hell no. And if you say otherwise i think you are a big fan of taylor and the most casual fan of music. Thats my claim
