underrated change from the original, when in the og flurrie asked everyone to leave the necklace by the door so they wont see her, the door opens fully and everyone is staring at it, so they actually totally saw her necklace-less which is very silly and funny. now they corrected it. everyone turns away from the door, and flurrie opens it very slightly just to get the necklace. its very cool attention to detail to "fix" a "plothole" from the og. also im 99% sure you can enter her bedroom in the og and the chest is there as well, chris.

Yknow, it only just recently occurred to me that Vivian might be a not-so-subtle reference to Vivi, another pointy-hatted pyromancer from Final Fantasy 9, which released the same year as Paper Mario 64.
