This piece of poetry talks about hope. We all hope. It is our only anchor that makes us belief in life's zest. Adages like 'there's always next time' can be heard from all quarters. It makes us relentlessly work towards our goals.
The poet, Ahmad Faraz, in this literary gem, talks about a lone cloud coming afar evoking hope to provide solace from distress. Eyes looking at it with yearning as if to get relief finally. Metaphorically, it talks about someone or something we yearn for providing comfort eventually.
We believe that as our desire is fulfilled our lives would be better. However, there are times, and most of it, what we aspire gives us pain. The lone cloud of which he talks about in fact comes and passes by thus enhancing our desire and yearning for it.
In fact, this cautionary note makes this literary piece one of the interesting texts.
I, therefore, ventured into composing it many years back and it could have been possible just a few days back to record and sing it finally.
